The international break is over, the visit from Everton has been and gone, and Manchester United have reminded us once again that progress is rarely a straight line. On Monday night at Old Trafford we saw, in 90 minutes, most of what defines this team at the moment: flashes of control, long spells of drift, and a lingering question about what exactly they are trying to be. We find solace in not being the biggest disaster in red at the moment and look forward to a defining run.

Another game, another uneasy blend of promise and regression, leaving us once more uncertain whether we’re witnessing the end of one cycle or the quiet beginning of another. United showed signs of progress, skill, and resilience - earning a draw in a match they often would have lost over the past 12 months, and one they’ll need to win going forward. For now, it’s another week in limbo as we wait to see whether this is a local minima or a descent back below.
