Isn’t it interesting how the people who knew us from day one are often the ones who despise us the most in success? Here is the context, Jesus was preaching in Nazareth, and in Luke 4:21, it says And He began to say to them, Today this Scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.

Right after this, the people questioned him, and he replied, Assuredly, I say to you, no prophet is accepted in his own country. It’s a hard lesson that we all have to learn, that those who know you from the start may, and often don’t want you to prosper more than them. Maybe it’s because they are offended that you have done better than them after knowing you for so long? 

No one truly knows, but one thing is for certain, don’t worry about those who don’t like you, and be careful of who you tell your plans to, even if they react positively, they could secretly be praying for your demise.

Psalm 84:11 reads:

For the Lord God is a sun and shield;

The Lord will give grace and glory;

No good thing will He withhold

From those who walk uprightly.

Oh what a beautiful exhortation of our Lord! God will do so much good for us, and more, on the condition that we walk uprightly, which is to allow the fruits of the Spirit of Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Gentleness, Faithfulness and Self Control

To show through our actions, and to obey His commands when He nudges us to do something. 

Did you know that delayed obedience is the same as disobedience? While it is better than outright rebellion, we must be aware that God has a timing when He tells us to do something. So if we want the full blessings of Psalm 84:11, then we must be quick to obey our God, and follow the guidance of The Holy Spirit. Amen and follow for more inspirational videos!

God tests us in many ways on our walk with Him. Whether it’s through allowing the devil to give us hardships to see if we will hold on to Him regardless of the situation… or even abundance to see if we will abandon and forget His goodness and mercy that allowed it to happen…. as every good and perfect gift comes from God. 

One unique test God describes in Deuteronomy Chapter 13 verses 1 to 3 is about signs and wonders. We have to remember that just because the person says spiritual things to us, relevant to our situation, doesn’t mean that they were sent from God. The verses read:

If there arises among you a prophet or a dreamer of dreams, and he gives you a sign or a wonder, and the sign or the wonder comes to pass, of which he spoke to you, saying, ‘Let us go after other gods’—which you have not known—‘and let us serve them,’ you shall not listen to the words of that prophet or that dreamer of dreams, for the Lord your God is testing you to know whether you love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul.

Nowadays, they will come under the disguise as a Christian, a pastor or a prophet and the other god in modern day scenarios is themself. They want you to rely on them for the word from God, which is a demonic word, and not on your own spiritual senses. This is why we need to have a personal relationship with God and not rely on the prayer life of others to hear from God. He speaks to all of us, we just have to read, pray and use discernment to listen! Amen and follow for more inspirational videos!
