About the Guest: .
Rachel McDonough grew up in a family dedicated to service and adventure. As a child, she couldn't imagine leaving the comforts of home—especially after meeting another missionary kid whose stories left her thankful her parents would never do something so outlandish. But life took a surprising turn when her parents felt a calling to serve as missionaries at Rift Valley Academy in Kenya. Before long, Rachel found herself on an unexpected journey, learning firsthand what it meant to answer a higher calling and embrace new experiences far from everything she once knew.
