In Luke 5, Jesus steps into Simon’s ordinary workday and turns a frustrating night of failure into a life-changing encounter. When Simon finally sees Jesus clearly, he moves from admiration to surrender—falling at His knees and leaving everything behind to follow Him. This message confronts the “Simons” in all of us: are we content to stay in the crowd, or are we ready to say, “Because You say so,” and follow Jesus wherever He leads?

Luke 4: 38-44 shows Jesus displaying astonishing authority—over sickness, over demons, and over every power in creation—while also revealing deep compassion for broken people. Yet even after witnessing His power, the crowds still misunderstood His mission: Jesus didn’t come merely to bring temporary relief but to proclaim the good news of God’s kingdom. This message confronts us with a sobering question: are we simply amazed by Jesus, or are we actually following Him?
