  • EP. 08 - Exhausted & Debating Cherry Picking
    2026/04/22

We’re running on fumes on episode 8… but somehow still bringing the heat.

This one is equal parts yawning and hot takes as we recap our appearance on the Dump & Skate podcast with Jeremy Squared (yes, both named Jeremy), discuss the energy in Game 1 of the MN Wild vs Dallas Stars Stanley Cup Playoff series, and give a peek into Jackie’s unexpectedly theatrical week.

We also talk about our upcoming WCCO interview with Ari Bergeron, dive into some strong hockey opinions (cherry picking, blind passing, long shifters), and Jenna explains why the give-and-go is her favorite play!

Somewhere in the middle, we get into real life too, learning how to say no, protecting your energy, and not constantly running yourself into the ground.

And naturally… we spiral into starting a band (drums, sax, flute, and Jenna on vocals… rapping, obviously), answer listener questions, and finish things off with the usual nonsense.

    Tired. Unfiltered. Still elite.

    xoxo,

    Jenna & Jackie

  • Sandbaggers, Burnout, & Bird Poop
    2026/04/15

This week on Puckin' Beauts, we are coming in hot!!We get into the world of sandbaggers in adult hockey, the kids who dominate when they’re little and then suddenly get swallowed by the pack once everyone else catches up through puberty, and the reality of youth club sports culture, including why Jenna thinks parts of it are an absolute crock. We also talk about one of those Minnesota tournaments where the hockey somehow ends up being the least fun part, while everything around it turns into the real event. And because no episode is complete without an unforgettable story, Jenna tells the story of the time a bird literally pooped in her mouth as a kid.Hockey, hot takes, childhood trauma via wildlife, and zero filter...just the way we like it!xoxo,Jenna & Jackie

  • The One Where Hockey Gets Really Weird
    2026/03/25

In this episode, we unpack absolute weirdness.

We spiral through some of our strangest hockey-adjacent memories — from condiment-covered ice cream goalies and childhood yard crimes to deer camp tournament lodging and naked locker room encounters.

Along the way, we troubleshoot Jenna’s “microphone condom,” revisit a traumatic first tournament back after injury, and accidentally decide to launch a completely legitimate new business venture involving a Zamboni and legally binding matrimony.

Hockey is strange. We are stranger.
    Nothing makes sense. Everything tracks.

    xoxo,

  • Pain, Pride, Beer League Survival, & Humbled on Ice
    2026/03/17

This episode we’re sharing embarrassing beer league moments, including own-goal tip-ins, unexpected wipeouts, and the general experience of trying to look confident while absolutely losing control. We also dive into off-ice injuries that somehow feel just as hockey-related, from stitches caused by kittens to permanent finger damage courtesy of a very aggressive softball coach.

And of course, we talk about one of our favorite beer league dynamics: the energy shift when certain guys realize they just got beat on the ice by women.

If you’ve ever been humbled by hockey, life, or your own decision-making skills, you’re in good company.

This episode is about showing up, laughing at yourself, and embracing the reality that sometimes the biggest hits happen far from the boards.

    xoxo,

    Jenna & Jackie
