  • Pain, Pride, Beer League Survival, & Humbled on Ice
    2026/03/17

This episode we’re sharing embarrassing beer league moments, including own-goal tip-ins, unexpected wipeouts, and the general experience of trying to look confident while absolutely losing control. We also dive into off-ice injuries that somehow feel just as hockey-related, from stitches caused by kittens to permanent finger damage courtesy of a very aggressive softball coach.

And of course, we talk about one of our favorite beer league dynamics: the energy shift when certain guys realize they just got beat on the ice by women.

If you’ve ever been humbled by hockey, life, or your own decision-making skills, you’re in good company.

This episode is about showing up, laughing at yourself, and embracing the reality that sometimes the biggest hits happen far from the boards.

    xoxo,

    Jenna & Jackie

  • Confidence, Power Soakers, & Guinness World Record Dreams
    2026/03/09

Did this episode get a little deeper than we expected? Yes. Did we still manage to make it weird? Also, yes. Did we somehow end up talking about world records, power soakers, and why hockey becomes your entire personality? Absolutely.

In ep. 3, we talk about how hockey has shaped our confidence in ways we didn’t see coming. Jenna admits that hockey has basically become her identity (and shares her long-term plan to become the oldest woman still playing hockey… preferably while also breaking a second world record at the same time). Jackie talks about the love she has for women’s hockey, the friendships that come from it, and how special it is to now be coaching both of her kids and watching them fall in love with the game too.

Somewhere along the way we also talk about co-ed hockey, why perspectives change over time, how Jenna wants to die while playing hockey, and Jackie shares the legendary “power soakers and wet crotches” story… which may or may not have led to us being called dark pervs.

We also want to hear from you. If Jenna is going to break the record for oldest woman still playing hockey, what second world record should she attempt at the same time? Jackie suggested longest hair or longest fingernails… but we know the internet can do better.

Send us your ideas or your own stories: 📧puckinbeauts26@gmail.com

And yes… stay until the end. The imperfect ending is still there 😊

    xoxo Jenna & Jackie

  • Broomsticks, Bladders, and Hockey Beginnings!
    2026/03/02

Did this episode go off the rails? Yes. Do we overshare? Also yes. Are we exposing ourselves to the internet anyway? Absolutely! Should you stay until the end? Also yes! We keep the bloopers in the outro because apparently we still don’t know how to act professional. In this episode, we go back to the beginning and how we actually got into hockey. Jackie started in dance (yes, really), and Jenna’s first year on the ice was playing ringette… which included accidentally sticking herself in the stomach on day one. Naturally, this leads us straight into our worst and most embarrassing hockey stories, because apparently humiliation is a universal hockey experience. Now we want to hear yours! What’s your most embarrassing hockey moment? Do you have a weird superstition or good-luck ritual before games? Send us your stories, we might share them in a future episode. We also follow up on Jackie’s explanation of “shuffling” (link below) and share a little more about ringette for anyone wondering where hockey journeys sometimes begin.
