このコンテンツについて
In every episode of Breaking the Silence, we’ve spoken to survivors of rape and sexual assault to learn more about the issues they faced following an attack. But in the final episode of the series, we want to talk not just about the aftermath but about how we can prevent sexual violence and reduce the number of people this affects in the future.
Chris Rooke decided not to go through the justice system after his experience of sexual assault, but that hasn’t stopped him from using his voice to fight for change. In this episode Chris explains the changes he wants to see, and what we can learn from listening to each other more and having difficult discussions.
We know that education is also a crucial part of prevention and to explain what we are teaching our kids and the issues impacting them deputy principal Eoghan Cleary also joins us.
If you are affected by any of the issues raised in this podcast help is available. Contact Dublin Rape Crisis Centre’s National 24-Hour Helpline on 1800 77 8888.
