Greetings, friends! On this episode of the Helping You Become podcast, we dove into Proverbs 14:12 and 16:25, where God’s Word warns, “There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death.” These verses, repeated in Scripture, are a divine alarm from our merciful God, urging us to seek His wisdom rather than trust our own understanding. Too often, we take paths that look straight but lead to destruction—failed businesses, broken relationships, or spiritual death. Pastor Joe connects this to Romans 6, where Paul describes humanity’s slavery to sin before salvation, leading to shameful outcomes and death. The way of the fool, as Proverbs 12:15 says, is right in his own eyes, ignoring wise counsel. But God desires us to learn first, then live righteously. Through Christ, we’re freed from sin’s grip and made righteous (2 Corinthians 5:21). The Holy Spirit convicts us of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:7-11), guiding us to God’s path. Pastor Joe encourages us to mitigate mistakes, reduce sin, and pursue righteousness, stewardship, and strong relationships. Christ is our wisdom (1 Corinthians 1:30), and God’s will should be our quest. Join us next week for more, and visit livingsuccess.org for free resources, including the So What’s Next? Bible study.
