🎤 Precious Book Gal: On the Scene

Reporting from Once Upon a Page in Smyrna, TN—where stories weren’t just on the page, they were happening all around me.

I had the chance to speak with some incredible voices in the community, including Author Mickey Miller, Author Simone Sumner, Voice Actor Voss, Voice Actor Chaka Delsilva, and The Spine Bookshop owner Lindsay Schultz.

My goal? To bring you On the Scene coverage from every book event I attend—real conversations, real people, and the stories behind the stories.

Thank you to everyone I met—and especially to those who trusted me with your stories 🖤

  • Impromptu Live | Corvin King
    2026/07/14

Sometimes the best moments are the ones you never plan. 🎙️✨

This was a completely impromptu Live in July of 2025. No schedule, no outline—just me jumping on with my friends. Then, out of nowhere, Corvin King, Voice Actor, joined us, and what started as a casual chat turned into one of those conversations you couldn't have planned if you tried.

Those unexpected moments are some of my favorites. I hope you enjoy this one as much as we did!

  • Event Spotlight | Smutmas Authors
    2026/07/07

What happens when eight authors from different backgrounds, writing different stories, and many meeting for the very first time all end up in one live conversation? Pure chaos...and a whole lot of fun.

Join me as I chat with Lexi James, Mya More, Kelly Kay, E.E. Star, Kat Savage, Meg Alivien, Elle Rivers, and Kat Summers, all of whom attended Smutmas in the Smokies in Nashville. We talked about their books, writing journeys, favorite tropes, and what readers can expect from them at the event.

The conversation was full of laughs, great stories, and the kind of bookish energy that reminds me why I love this community so much. I had an absolute blast getting to know these incredible authors and can't wait to see what they do next.

Tickets for the 2026 event have closed, but tickets for the 2027 event are now available. Visit @smutmasinthesmokies on Instagram for more details.

  • Event Spotlight | Smutmas Narrators
    2026/07/06

Audiobook lovers, this one's for you.

I had the chance to sit down with four narrators headed to Smutmas in the Smokies—Rachel Dane, Mollie Stark, Amanda Stribling, and Tor Thom—for a conversation that covered everything from life behind the microphone to memorable characters, favorite moments in the booth, and what they're most excited about for the event in Nashville.

As always, I left the conversation with a bigger appreciation for the talent, heart, and humor that narrators bring to our favorite stories. We had a fantastic time, shared plenty of laughs, and, honestly, could have kept talking much longer.

Tickets for the 2026 event have closed, but tickets for the 2027 event are now available. Visit @smutmasinthesmokies on Instagram for more details.

  • Pink Mic | The Poisoned Pen
    2026/06/29

    Pink Mic Meets 🎤📚

The very first episode of Pink Mic Meets takes place in Scottsdale, Arizona!

I met up with my friends, Cheynne and Christina, at the The Poisoned Pen Bookstore. I was basically killing two birds with one stone—getting to spend time with friends and picking up signed copies of the Outlander books for my mom. Then I completely lost where I was going with that expression. 😂

I also had the chance to chat with Patrick from The Poisoned Pen, which made the visit even more fun.

The full 30-minute episode of Pink Mic Meets is available on my podcast. The book world has given me some incredibly cool experiences, introduced me to amazing people, and created memories I never expected. I'm really grateful for all of it. 💕📚🎤

  • p.s. | Michelle Sparks

p.s. with precious: Michelle Sparks Edition

I had such an amazing time interviewing Michelle Sparks on our last p.s. with precious.

We talked about her early years, her time working in the film industry, and the journey that led her to becoming a full-time voice actor. Michelle was thoughtful, prepared, and incredibly genuine in every response she shared.

One of my favorite parts of these conversations is getting to know the person behind the microphone, and it was truly a delight learning more about Michelle. I'm so grateful she took the time to join me, and the audiobook industry is lucky to have someone with her talent, professionalism, and heart.

Thank you, Michelle, for spending the evening with us! 🎙️✨

  • Book Talk | Two Book Recs
    2026/05/21

Megs All Things Bookish recommended Gus by Kim Holden to me, and I recommended Atlas by DJ Krimmer to her. What followed was one of the most fun, meaningful conversations I’ve had in this community.

We were incredibly lucky that Kim Holden, DJ Krimmer, Alex Kydd, and Joe Arden all said yes to joining us live to talk about these stories and performances.

I loved getting to talk with Kim Holden and Alex Kydd about the emotional impact of Gus, and it was just as special watching Megs talk with DJ Krimmer and Joe Arden about one of her new favorite books, Atlas.

THIS is what the book community should be about.

Reading books. Loving books. Recommending books.

And appreciating the people behind them — the authors, voice actors, producers, and everyone else who helps bring these stories to life.

Thank you to everyone who joined us live.
