Our Lone Star story of the day: Conservative hating, disgraced former Speaker of the Texas House, Dade Phelan, admits in an interview with Leftist Texas Monthly what the real game is: The insider anti-conservative crowd hopes a big Texas loss for Republicans will steer the party away from conservatism and back into the hands of the insider class. This is despicable but not new. It is the same argument I heard while in the room with these types back in the 1980’s and 1990’s.

• Talarico Pastor Says Evangelical Christians Aren’t Smart – and says some worse things about actual Christians who believe in God’s Word. It sort of shows you how nasty are these folk who claim to be all love and acceptance. Clearly it’s a case of making the Enlightenment’s “rationalism” into a false God.
