The news of Texas covered today includes:

Our Lone Star story of the day: Texas Department of Public Safety messed up on forwarding voter registrations and it’s making publicity. It should not happen again and should not affect voters for the November election but it is of concern.

Our Lone Star story of the day is sponsored by Allied Compliance Services providing the best service in DOT, business and personal drug and alcohol testing since 1995.

Items from the campaign stack:

• “Anti-Corruption Lawyer” Running for Texas House Advertises Corruption Defense Services – the kind of stuff you can’t make up and makes it “silly season!” What a fake.
• Texas House Candidate Tells DSA He Needs to Hide His Socialist Affiliation – more of the same: Hide the revolutionary radicalism until one gets in power.
• Talarico Pastor Says Evangelical Christians Aren’t Smart – and says some worse things about actual Christians who believe in God’s Word. It sort of shows you how nasty are these folk who claim to be all love and acceptance. Clearly it’s a case of making the Enlightenment’s “rationalism” into a false God.
• Quorum Report: Patrick tells supporters that some of his senators and GOP candidates for Texas Senate are trailing democrats, per sources. Many locals tried to tell folks that Wambsgamss is a great conservative backer but not a good retail candidate in SD9.
