  • Our Cornerstone
    2026/05/19

A cornerstone is the first stone set in a masonry foundation.

Scripture tells us that Jesus is our Cornerstone. When we choose to follow Him, we have a firm foundation in our lives. Alternatively, we can choose other standards and be like a bobber, being tossed around through life's ups and downs.

Jesus as our Cornerstone is what we’re talking about in today’s episode.

Do we trust in the Lord? Do we want to please God or people? What’s our standard? These are some topics today.

Feelings and experiences can side-track us on our journey. We can fall backwards at times, when we aren’t focusing on Jesus promises. But we know that God never leaves us through those times.

The parable of the sower of seeds is a scripture focus today. What is the motivation of your heart or the “condition of your heart”?

Jesus tells us to beware of ravenous wolves. We can be influenced by false teachers. Instead, He tells us to do the “will of My Father”. And what is the will of the Father? Jesus talks about this in scripture and instructs us. A conversation about these things and more, are in this episode.

And if you haven’t asked Jesus into your life, you can find a salvation prayer at the end of this episode.

Remember to… Pour out your joy!

  • How does our unrighteousness get covered by righteousness?
    2026/05/05

God and unrighteousness: Bridging the gap.

We start off this episode with a deep dive into the atonement of sin through the old covenant and new covenant. How did the righteousness of Jesus’ act replace the old covenant? We’re talking about the aspects of this topic from a sermon Bethany listened to by John MacArthur.

And what does our faith and our practice look like in terms of righteousness?

We're diving into scripture, where God tells us through His Word what righteousness looks like. Did you know you are ambassadors for Christ? Jesus died for us!

How do we handle the hard things in life? Do we do this on our own? Thankfully, no! As believers, God provides us with the Helper to navigate the hard things in life. He convicts us to walk upright.

And let’s not forget about prayer. He wants to hear from us, to help us with the hard things.

Tune in to this episode to find tools to navigate life in terms of Jesus gift of righteousness.
