WOW! Lightning in a Bottle did not disappoint! I heard so much great music that week - mostly at the Woogie stage where I was working. I was BLESSED to play a surprise stage open set too, dream come true on the insane Funktion One sound system. I played 80s and 90s hip hop like my last podcast episode, and some gangster rap like the Rat Trap mix from last summer. The Woogie stage has definitely THE place to be at LIB! Amazing amounts of sick house, garage, and disco all week long. I was so inspired. I had so many tracks to trainspot. That took me down a rabbit hole of new music after the event - so this mix is up two weeks late. TOTALLY WORTH IT!!! Hopping in to a new genre here for DJing - one that I was in to when I was like 5 years old for dancing. Something about these beats just made me want to jam on the floor!!! This set is representing what I was playing at Neotropolis at the Rat Trap bar. Neo is a future - cyberpunk - space vibe event, so I thought to go with some Afro-Futurism energy with a lot of the music I was playing. I played plenty of the popular hits at the event but I tried to go a bit thin on them for the podcast mix. You will hear a lot of beats that are familiar but they are in different songs. I didn't want to make a throwback set! With these beats I'm trying to keep it FRESH!!!

I performed two contemporary dance acts in the Zirco Loco circus show this March, and DJ'd the afterparty from midnight to 2 am. This episode is the first half-ish of my set! I played a lot of tracks I heard out here in the Mojave Desert for the first time over the last couple years, and plenty of other stuff too. This flavor of house music has really been exciting to hear out here when I am on the dancefloor, so I gave a lot of it back to the people that night : )

Finally brinigng it back to that techno stuff I was exploring with mixes two years ago. It's taken me that long to figure out how to place some of these tracks!!! Once again well worth the wait. This mix is wild! Speed ranges from 128 to 157 bpm! That old techno goes so hard. Bring it back - where do I have to go??? I put this mix up at a low bitrate to add to the grime of the techno, and to be a bit more authentic to the older tracks which really are taking the spotlight here. I can't stress enough how happy I am to get all these tracks off the chopping block and in to a mix finally. When things get put to the side, its like they are sitting on my shoulder the entire time, asking me when they are finally going to be mixed!


For best results - enjoy this mix in a dark room very, very loudly - or driving through the desert after midnight.

This one has been a long time coming! I looked forwards to taking a real vacation for a month in Florida to finally relax after a crazy busy year, and immerse myself in the Orlando music scene again. The AAHZ party was completely off the wall this year. It never disappoints! SO many wild jams from the 80s and 90s. Heard a ton I had never even heard before. Danced my ASS off! Ending my summer in Orlando every year has always been great. One more high energy month of breakbeats every year to get it all out of my system. Struggled and struggled to figure out the name for this months episode. I do not think a word exists in the English language that covers how I felt for this one. So much culminated for 6 months in my life and I wanted to cap it off with a fancy podcast episode name. Found nothing. ChatGPT failed me.

The last few events had some of the coolest house and techno music I heard all year. So many beats, so much new space to explore! I had an amazing time dancing with new and old friends. October really seald up the amazing year I had at festivals and ended it proper.

The podcast is ten days late because I've been working on the title almost the whole time! My artistic process failed me this time and needs a reboot.

This set is a great one to cover October! Captures the vibes I like for change of seasons and spookiness. Pushing on in to the Technospere for later in the season. I'm peering in to the near future and seeing a lot of percussion to say the least.
