Tossing bean bags laughing at the game, we were the winners,never mind the score

A ripping good time as always, delivered with panache in a mannerso exemplary

Busted menagerie

It’s not fair to call me stupid

I think my problem’s I’m too nice

I blame it all on that dude cupid

Got me think wedding bells and rice

Every time I go off and fall in love again

I end up lost, in tears all alone and broke

And that so called lady is nowhere in sight

From the outside I’m sure it’s a real good joke

But on the inside it’s another sleepless night

Alone in tears ain’t how a love story should end

You could say I’m a fool for ever believing

A sightless person could see it was a big mistake

But I’ve been driving blind straight to Hotel Grieving

Greeted at the door, so well known they made me a cake

My favorite, regrets frosted with fears with a tear on top

Yes I guess I’m a regular here, rather sad to say

One day I tell myself, I’m going to check out for good

Lonely nights that bleed into another mournful day

Going to a place where I’m loved and understood

Where real love’s a mainstay and the smiles just won’t stop

And that’s sure not here…

That to me is fine

Stretched beyond the limit, like a guitar string about to snap

Wearing a grin, trying to look relaxed and lay down a little dap

I’m all good, not a care in the world; but I feel as if it’s all going to blow

Lock me in a padded room, gather the white coats; it’s time for the show

Disasters like a well healed pet seem to follow me most everywhere

Like I’ve a two foot toilet paper trail stuck to my shoe, see them stare

Surely, I must be a little bit mad; maybe there’s salvation waiting in a dose?

Regardless, there’s a ride where the sun shines bright and a warm wind blows

And I’m weary of this pounding, and those people pointing, citing all the rules

Jokes on you! I’m not the loon, it’s all of you, ha-ha! You crazy bunch of silly fools!

I roll over to tomorrow, must’ve all just been another crazy dream of mine

Even though I’m on the inside I feel safer than you do and that to me is fine

Not easy to take

Hard to imagine, not easy to take

Crushing being apart from you when I wake

No words, no sound, nothing but silence

Tears flood my memories, I abhor violence

No one to kill, no screams or thrashing

Just dreams of ago, constantly flashing

Could’ve been, such a sickening thought

Like an empty water bottle in a drought

Holds the promise of great relief

Empty like my arms brings me grief

Hard to imagine, not easy to take

The masterpiece you painted was a fake

Pretty to look at, like hearing the ocean in a shell

Dreamt of life, but the house of cards fell

You could see the whole picture of the days

Empty chapel yet the music plays

No bride on the aisle, no rice on the ground

An empty man sees nothing and cannot hear a sound

Missed intentions, misunderstood meaning

The answer lies somewhere but he’s not gleaning

Hard to imagine not easy to take

A lonely groom on a melting cake

Cannot absorb the blows, nor tolerate the pain

Knocked down repeatedly but he gets up again

Why does he not just head for the trees

No rabid attack instead he’s on his knees

She waters the flowers

I could watch her for hours

Seems I’m perpetually under her powers

She breathes out a loving sigh

So many rainbows across my sky

Tells me that forever I will be her guy

I’m so high I can touch the moon

Cause my woman makes my heart swoon

In dreams we’re drifting into the sunset in a hot air balloon
