  • Ep. #465: What is True Gain? 1Tim. 6:2-7

In today’s episode, we talk about Paul’s warning that anyone who “teaches otherwise” and rejects wholesome, Christ‑given doctrine is a false teacher. False teachers are known by pride, ignorance, sly questions, strife, envy, railings, and corrupt thinking. Such men are destitute of the truth, driven by covetousness, and they also must be avoided. Paul contrasted their greed with true gain which is godliness with contentment. We brought nothing into this world and we won’t be taking anything out. Believers should be content with food and raiment. We invite you to come study God’s Word with us today!

Today’s Q&A has several powerful questions that we try our best to provide the best biblical answers possible, and these questions include: what happened at Gilgal in Amos and Hosea; whether the UFO phenomenon connects to the end‑times deception; whether Scripture teaches eternal conscious torment; what Jude meant when he spoke of “earnestly contend for the faith”; whether calling Jesus simply “Jesus” minimizes His title after the resurrection; and the youth’s question for the month concerns a Christian student, and how he should respond to an atheist teacher’s hostility toward his faith, and Christianity in general. • Ep. #463: A Little Wine and Slavery, 1Tim. 5:23-6:1
    2026/07/13

    Send us Fan Mail

In this episode, we discuss why Paul told Timothy to “use a little wine,” and that leads us to talk about water quality, medicinal use, Greek wordings, and Timothy’s stomach issues or anxieties. Paul then explains in vv. 24-25 how elders whose sins or good works become manifest, and some of them are open beforehand, and others later at the judgment. Entering chapter 6, Paul addressed servants or slaves who were under the yoke, urging them to honor their masters to avoid blaspheming God. He also instructed believing servants not to despise believing masters. This is an episode you don’t want to miss, so come study God’s Word with us today!
