    This episode is a longer version of episode 7 - ILP & The Peer Researchers - to include a portion that we needed to edit out for episode 7. This was entirely my fault. I have worked within Plymouth's housing & advice services for nearing 30yrs & never quite got around to asking where Improving Lives Plymouth came from, in fact who there were. This was my opportunity! I found it really interesting, but it did distract from the actual point of the original conversation!     Having Peer Researchers welcomed in some of Plymouth's service is really positive. They will be taking on service specific roles, with the aim to support the teams & provide some learned experience insight.

    Gemma Doyle works at The Zone in Plymouth. She is the Partnership Development Coordinator for Youth Transition. Part of her role is funded by Changing Futures to look into how young people, working with statutory & other services in Plymouth, experience the transition from youth to adult services. As Gemma tells us, it's not about necessarily making changes if they are not needed. It's about asking those who are or have experienced the process - what was it like? what would have made it a better experience for you? what can we do to support you? etc.
