In this episode we are discussing two cases regarding whether parents should be charged with crimes because of their child’s actions. The first involves a high-speed car crash in Michigan where a 16-year-old was driving over 100 mph in a residential zone. The driver lost control and crashed into a tree, killing the 18-year-old passenger. The passenger’s parents are pushing for authorities to charge the mother of the driver. In the second case the father of a 14-year-old boy accused of fatally shooting four people at a Georgia high school was arrested and charged with second-degree murder and involuntary manslaughter for letting his son possess a weapon.

When should parents be held responsible for the actions of their children? Listen and find out our views.
