SERMON NOTES — April 13, 2025Series: Easter Text: Matthew 21:1-17Topic: Who Is This?God’s IM: When answering Who is this? do not miss the clues that I give you from My Word.Notes:1. Don’t miss the donkey Zechariah 9:9-102. Don’t miss the cleanup Isaiah 56:6-83. Don’t miss the wonder Isaiah 35:4-64. Don’t miss the children Psalm 8:1-2IMPLICATION FOR LIFE RESPONSE1. Don’t miss the donkey. So here is the concluding declaration and invitation: Jesus came the first time, and he is coming again, as the king over all kings. King of Israel, king of all the nations, king of nature and the universe. Until he comes again, there is a day of amnesty and forgiveness and patience. He still rides a donkey and not yet a white war-horse with a rod of iron. He is ready to save all who receive him as Savior and Treasure and King. Come to him. Know him. Receive him. Live your life in allegiance to him.2. Don’t miss the cleanup. We can set up idols in our hearts and think that we are sufficient for what we are facing. Our Savior invites us into his house of prayer where we can cast all of our anxieties on him because he cares for us. And we can confess our sins knowing that he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.3. Don’t miss the wonder. We are invited by our Savior to call on the elders who will come and anoint the sick so that the prayer of faith will heal the sick. Yes, we are waiting for the day when we will be made whole but until then we can entreat the Great Physician for his healing touch. Also, let us not miss the many wonders that God is doing in our lives on a regular basis. Do not miss them. 4. Don’t miss the children. We are meant to come as little children to enter the kingdom of God. And as we enter our King puts a song in our hearts. So let our voices be lifted up in praise every day and hail King Jesus, the Lord of heaven and earth. Let praise be continually on our lips.Music and word rights reserved. CCLI License
