You’re going out for the rest of the week to work and labor. Go in peace. Go with the blessing and the assurance of God’s covenant promises upon you that He will never leave you nor forsake you, that you are Christ’s, and that you will be Christ’s forever. You may experience trials and difficulties this week, but you are covenant children underneath the umbrella of the covenant blessings. You are not under the covenant curses. SERMON NOTES – November 16, 2025Series: Ephesians: God’s Plan to Reconcile All Things in ChristText: Ephesians 6:18-20Topic: Waging Spiritual Warfare (Part 5) Attribute: Praise Christ as the Victorious King GOD’S IM: “Remember, because of Jesus, you are never alone in this war. I will come to your aid and fight for you anyway you need, anytime you ask!”Notes: “We cannot know what prayer is for until we know that life is war. Life is war. That is not all it is. But it is certainly that. Our weakness in prayer is owing largely to our neglect of this truth. Prayer is primarily a wartime walkie-talkie for the mission of the church as it advances against the powers of darkness and unbelief. It is not surprising that prayer malfunctions when we try to make it a domestic intercom to call upstairs for more comforts in the den. God has given us prayer as a wartime walkie-talkie so that we can call headquarters for everything we need as the kingdom of God advances in the world.” - John PiperFour A________ (vs. 18)Ephesians 5:18-21Romans 8:26-271 Thessalonians 5:16-18For M__________ (vs. 19-20)IMPLICATIONS FOR LIFE:1) Pray in the Spirit. Put your wants and wishes on the back burner and begin to focus on the Lord - who He is, what He has done, and what He has promised to do. Let that inform your prayers.Pray in every situation and circumstance.Don’t wait. Anytime is a good time to pray. 2) Pray about everything. Bring the Lord into every part of your life. There is nothing you can’t or shouldn’t pray about.Pray constantly.Maintain a conversation with God throughout your day.3) Pray for others. We are one body in Christ, so pray for others the way you would want them to pray for you.Pray for church leaders, missionaries, and the Gospel to go forth. If you want to be on the front lines of this spiritual war and make an eternal difference in the hearts and lives of people all over this world, pray for those preaching and proclaiming the Gospel! 4) Pray knowing that IN CHRIST God will hear and answer your prayers! Over and over again, we see this promise in Scripture, and it is all because of Jesus! Pray confidently, boldly, persistently, and expectantly! Music and word rights reserved. CCLI License

Victory is yours!”Notes: H_______________ (vs. 17a)Ephesians 6:13-171 Thessalonians 5:8Isaiah 59:17Psalm 140:7“In that Old Testament passage God donned the breastplate of righteousness, positioned on his brow the helmet of salvation, and then went on to defeat his enemies and save his people as the resplendent Divine Warrior. But Paul changes the image. In Isaiah, God’s helmet of salvation is what he does; in Ephesians, it is what he gives… Now consider the ‘helmet of salvation’ placed on our heads by the nail pierced hands of Christ at our conversion. The helmet assures us that whatever happens we will be saved and experience victory in Christ… The helmet infuses optimism about the course of the battle in this world… The helmet also instills an irrepressible hope - a bounding hope of future salvation and glory with Christ.” -R. Is it truth (vs. 14)? He is the truth; he is the one who said, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me’ (John 14:6). Is it righteousness (verse 14)? He is our righteousness. Paul writes, ‘Christ… has become for us wisdom from God - that is our righteousness, holiness and redemption’ (1 Cor. 1:30). Is it the gospel (vs. 15)? The gospel is the gospel of Christ (Mark 1:1). Is it faith (vs. 16)? It is faith in him (Gal. 2:20). Salvation (vs. 17)? Christ is our salvation; he achieved it by his death on the cross (Acts 4:10-12). Even prayer is by the channel that he has opened up for us (Heb. 10:19-20). None of us can stand against the spiritual forces of evil in our own strength - not even for a moment. But in Christ we can fight on to victory.” - James Montgomery BoiceR_______________ (vs. 13)Ephesians 6:10-11Exodus 15:3Psalm 35:1-3Isaiah 42:13“…when Paul speaks of the ‘armor of God’, as he does in Ephesians 6, he is not thinking of it only as the armor which God supplies - his in the sense that he gives it - but rather that it is God’s own armor, that which he himself wears!” - James Montgomery Boice B_______________ of T_______________ (vs. 14a)Ephesians 1:13Ephesians 4:21B_______________ of R_______________ (vs. 14b)Proverbs 10:16Proverbs 12:28Romans 3:10-12Isaiah 59:17IMPLICATIONS FOR LIFE:1) “How do we do this? Not in our own strength, for “the whole armor of God” in his armor. Therefore, it is not by self-reliance, but by dependence upon him… In conscious dependence we must cultivate truth through reading his Word… In conscious dependence, we must revel in the breastplate of his righteousness and allow what clothes us to fill our souls, so that we become instruments of wonderful spiritual aggression.” - Kent Hughes2) Stand in Christ!Jesus has given, is giving, and will give you everything you need to stand firm in the faith, withstand the attacks and schemes of Satan, and make it safely through these evil days! 3) Grow in your knowledge of the truth!Day by day, grow in your knowledge of the truth. This won’t always come quickly, easily, or even enjoyably, but it is vitally important! 4) Rest in righteousness!
