At the highest level, our commitment to Christ - our promises and our goals may coincide. Life does not consist in achieving our goals, but in fulfilling our promises except when we are seeking first Christ's kingdom and his righteousness. Oh Jesus, I have promised to serve Thee to the end.2. Life is made up in storms. There is either one on the horizon, or we are in the midst of one, or we have just passed through one. In His grace, God offers us a peace with Himself through Jesus Christ, a peace that surpasses all understanding. Let us rest in Him for Jesus is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.
