  • Instant reaction to Baylor's ugly win over Samford. What's next for the Bears?
    2025/09/14
It wasn't always pretty, but Baylor closed out non-conference play with a 42-7 win over Samford on Saturday afternoon. Trib sports editor Brice Cherry and Baylor beat writer Zach Smith break down all the action. Even with the win, the vibes postgame were very pessimistic. Sawyer Robertson threw three interceptions, but the defense got a trio of takeaways. Dave Aranda said the team lacked focus in the game, which was against a winless FCS opponent on a blazing hot morning. The Bears turn their attention to Big 12 play, and Arizona State comes to Waco to open conference action next Saturday night at 6:30 p.m.
