On On Podcast episode 6.08 Squirrel Style Squirrel Style joins Ra from Heidelberg, Germany, to share how a relatively new hasher became a prolific Hare, international traveler and founder of a roaming kennel.

Originally from Yugoslavia and raised in a conservative environment, she discovered Hashing in Munich in November 2019 through Last Cock Standing. The songs and traditions were initially a cultural shock, but the international community immediately felt like home. She soon became known for scenic, carefully planned trails combining rivers, castles, medieval towns, nature and creative stops.

Squirrel Style's first trail required seven kilograms of flour and five hours of laying marks—and ended with two civilians detaining her because they suspected the flour was poison. After a lengthy wait for the police and an escort home, she learned to notify local authorities before future trails. She also explains how four outings as a hare, a fondness for squirrels and a memorable naming-circle answer produced the name Squirrel Style.

The conversation follows her travels through 13 countries on four continents in just five months and the accidental birth of Fit TITS after EuroHash in Tallinn. The kennel’s name means “Found in Tallinn—Traveling in Town Slowly,” and its free, nomadic trails have appeared at events in London, Munich, Transylvania, Barbados, Ecuador, Indonesia, Saint Kitts, Croatia, Ireland and Switzerland. Squirrel Style describes its unusual traditions, her unforgettable Carnival adventures in Cuenca, her work as a Munich haberdasher and party manager, and the worldwide friendships that give her seemingly endless energy.

A teacher preparing for a sabbatical year starting in 2027 devoted to Hashing, she is also developing Little Venice Hash and an annual Medieval Hash in historic European towns.
