Is the worst behind the Padres? Sure hope so. A dreadful eight days left them with a lot of work to do in the Wild Card race. This week the club appears to have shaken off the slump. And they need that to continue into and beyond the All-Star break. Jake Cronenworth and Luis Campusano are back and have provided some impactful swings. The lineup erupted Wednesday against Arizona. Starting pitching remains an issue, but a few arms have turned in stellar performances. Are they moving in the right direction?
