We swore we’d never start a podcast… so naturally, we did. Off Scott-Free is a weekly conversation between Atlas and Olivia Scott about marriage, faith, creativity, and the everyday moments worth remembering. Think of it as a video diary, not a platform: honest, reflective, and made to last.Olivia & Atlas Scott 社会科学

    2026/08/18

This week was a little bit of everything: superhero movies, mini golf, waterparks, hotel disasters, storage unit purgatory, and some unexpectedly deep conversations along the way.

We kick things off with our thoughts on Spider-Man: Brand New Day and whether Marvel might finally be finding its footing again, then recap a double date with old friends and the Twenty One Pilots watch party that very quickly became a party of two. Back at home, we finally tackled the last of our storage unit and spent several late nights figuring out why we own so much stuff and where the hell we’re supposed to put it all.

Things get a little heavier as we talk about loving people who continually let you down, the boundaries we’ve learned to put in place to protect our marriage and our hearts, and the difficult reality that sometimes growing means growing away from people you still deeply care about. We also have a pretty big life update for Atlas: he got offered a job! Now he is just figuring out whether he’s actually supposed to take it.

Then we’re off to Schlitterbahn, where exhaustion tested our marriage before we even made it to the waterpark, the entire state of Texas apparently decided to show up on the same day, and we discovered we may officially be lazy-river people. Our Austin plans proceeded to completely fall apart when the AC went out at our hotel, turning our nice dinner into late-night tacos, queso on Sixth Street, and Transformers in bed, which, honestly, may have been better anyway.

Finally, we somehow make it from Voodoo Doughnuts and P. Terry’s in Austin to a 1:00 showing of La La Land in Frisco before ending the weekend exactly how everyone dreams of: meeting strangers from Facebook Marketplace and making a financial plan.

A little chaotic, a little sentimental, and somehow very productive.

  • Episode 28 - A Series of Unfortunate Apartments
    2026/08/11

We thought we were moving into a new apartment. Turns out, we were signing up for a multi-part saga.

This week, we’re telling the full story of our move. From escaping our old apartment, to realizing our new apartment was somehow even worse, to driving an absolutely enormous Ford F-250, to moving AGAIN into an upgraded unit we didn’t even know existed. Throw in The Odyssey in 70mm, Six Flags, a very long email to management, broken appliances, a one-year proposal anniversary, and an unreasonable number of Twenty One Pilots coincidences, and you’ve got one hell of a month.

It was stressful, ridiculous, exhausting, and occasionally hilarious, but somewhere in all of it, we were reminded that home isn’t necessarily a place. Sometimes it’s just having the right person beside you while everything else is falling apart.

    Chapters:

    0:00 - Intro

    3:20 - Surely It Couldn’t Get Worse… Right?

    16:19 - Plot Twist: It’s Worse

    31:07 - Fear the Ford F-250 XL

    38:02 - A Little Cinematic Intermission

58:18 - To Whom It May Concern, Wtf

1:01:05 - New Apartment: The Sequel

1:14:25 - Another Day, Another Maintenance Request

1:22:47 - Oh Right, We Have Guests Tomorrow

1:29:40 - Everything Leads Back to Twenty One Pilots

1:35:49 - This Is Why I Chose You

    1:45:27 - Outro

  • Episode 27 [Elijah] - Pass Me the Aux
    2026/08/04

For our first episode with a guest, we’re joined by our friend Elijah, someone who started as Olivia’s friend and somehow became one of the most important people in both of our lives. We talk about how Olivia and Elijah met, how he eventually became friends with Atlas, and how that friendship has grown over the years. From there, we get very into music. As two producers, Atlas and Elijah bring a whole different perspective to the conversation as we dive into their own projects, Annex B and FORE, why they’re more drawn to the sound and feeling of a song than its lyrics, the things that immediately make us want to hit skip, whether old-school mixing techniques still hold up, and how we actually discover music today. And, of course, we end by talking about what Elijah hopes to do with his project, FORE, and where he wants to take his music next.Come for the friendship lore. Stay for the unsolicited music opinions.
