Meanwhile in Charlottesville, it was total disaster for the Wolfpack. NC State got soundly embarrassed by Virginia, causing the infamous "Cycle of Dave Doeren" to skip every preliminary step and go straight to "losing a dumb game in Year 14!" The only silver lining for State fans is that Doeren historically performs best when his back is pinned firmly against the wall.
