The mailbag is open, and Joe Ovies and Joe Giglio are opening up the show with two massive national and local news updates before diving into the inbox. First, the guys respond to listener requests for hot takes on former LSU head coach Will Wade. In McNeese State's exhibition game against LSU, Wade raised eyebrows across college basketball by playing only seven players due to ongoing NCAA eligibility questions surrounding his roster. The crew listens to Wade's postgame comments and parses through the rhetoric to explain why this isn't just about his exit from Raleigh — it's a national story that proves everything this show has said about him all along.

Next, Ovies offers a key broadcast update regarding local TV carriage for the Hurricanes Hockey Network, breaking down where negotiations stand with DirecTV for Canes fans trying to watch games this season. Then, the guys answer a full batch of mailbag questions, from remembering some hurricane affected games, athletic department deficits and accounting realities, Mt. Rushmore prompts, cats vs. dogs, and clearing out the OG Sports Phone.
