The Trinity College (Conn.) football team is closing in on a perfect season -- the Bantams need to beat Wesleyan University on Saturday to clinch the program's first-ever 9-0 season. Seniors Brian Casagrande (linebacker) and DeVante Reid (wide receiver) joined Matt Noonan to discuss their team's important meeting with the Cardinals on Saturday, as well as what they have enjoyed most about competing for the Bantams, dating back to their initial season in 2018.

Andrae Murphy, who is in his first season with the Dean College football team, joined Matt Noonan for a brand new Noontime Sports Podcast to discuss his team's initial win of the 2022 season, which occurred last Saturday against Alfred State. Murphy and Noonan discuss the Bulldogs' current season, as well as how one win has provided the program with some much-needed momentum heading into Saturday's Eastern Collegiate Football Conference (ECFC) clash with SUNY-Maritime.

Matt Noonan, who is the host and producer of the Noontime Sports Podcast, welcomes not one, but three guests to this week's show. 

Noonan begins the show chatting with Logan Tomlinson, who is a wide receiver for Wesleyan University (2:30). Tomlinson and the Cardinals outlasted Tufts University last Saturday to secure a hard-fought win. And with their victory over the Jumbos, Wesleyan remains in the mix for a New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) crown. 

Following Tomlinson, Noonan welcomes Joey Mauriello and Elian Telford of Salve Regina University (10:16). Mauriello recently became the Seahawks' all-time rushing leader last week -- he has now rushed for 3,962 yards on 632 carries and 40 touchdowns. Salve Regina scored an important conference win last Saturday against Western New England.

Two days after earning his initial win as the head coach of Bates College football, Matt Coyne joined the Noontime Sports Podcast to discuss his initial victory with the Bobcats. Bates topped Amherst College for the first time in 23 years to snap a three-game losing streak that included setbacks to Tufts University, Colby College, and Wesleyan University. Coyne discusses the culture he and his staff are building since he was named the 22nd head coach of the football team in February.
