Though it was reported to be haunted before a tragic event left a final scar, after a child was lost inside, the building rotted away to nothing except a spooky story almost lost to the ages.     We hike up Mt. Washington to the Lakes of the Clouds Hut located in the saddle between Mt. Washington and Mt. Monroe in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. The hut exists because of a tragic accident that took place there in June of 1900. Today they say the hut is haunted by the victim.
