"A part of my neurology lens for me, having, I guess, more challenges, maybe understanding how folks interact with the world and not really understanding, you know, the, like, I will take things more literal than, say, a neurotypical person. And I'm also a person who creates a lot of order and structure and rules of, like, how to go about things. And I think neurotypical people are more inclined to be like, rules are meant to be broken."

"Right? Like, there's nothing to feel sorry about, nor is there something to be ashamed about, nor is there something wrong with being neurodivergent. And I would argue that probably one of the coolest things that I can do actually occurs because I am neurodivergent. So I pride myself on being kind of a fasten, like, fast person who's able to think on my feet and kind of be innovative on the spot."

"Okay, so when do you think you're gonna make time? 55 years from now? Or you think when you're on your deathbed, you think? Then it makes no sense. Get it together. Get over yourself. Get over yourself. If you want to love your life, then you have to live a life that you love. It's not profound."

"The most empowering thing about being neurodiverse is the clarity. I have found that, as I guess, frustrating, one could say it could be of living life and not really fully understanding why you had certain feelings or why certain experiences were happening. Now I am like. I feel like a weight has been lifted off of my chest. And I know that's super cliche, but it's just the reality of life, of always feeling a bit like an alien, to be honest."

"And thus then the double empathy problem. Well, maybe it's not just me. This leads me to my next link I've included here. It's a study that came out in 2017 looking at first impressions, short snippets of holistic and autistic interactions. And in each of those scenarios, regardless of age, autistics were seen less favorably."
