  • Financial Advisor Scott Jordan is Making Money Moves in Pattaya
    2025/10/13

    Send us a text

A five-minute airport chat solved a problem months of Googling couldn’t—and that’s the spark for this episode. We dig into the real value of financial advice for expats: not market predictions or magic returns, but structure, tax efficiency, and a plan you can actually live with when headlines and volatility hit. We talk through emergency funds, compounding, and why “being in the right wrapper” matters more than chasing last year’s winners. If you’ve ever wondered what you’re paying for—and whether it’s worth it—this conversation lays it out plainly.

We also get specific about life abroad. Scott shares how joining local clubs and expat meetups isn’t networking theater; it’s where honest stories surface and better decisions follow. We compare scalping trades every three minutes with managed portfolios that quietly outperform while giving you evenings back. Behavior sits at the core: some of us save everything and never spend; others live like every night is Saturday. Cash flow modeling helps you find the balance—what it costs to fund your present and still reach the future you want.

For UK expats in Thailand, we flag rumblings around national insurance on rental income, capital gains tweaks, and inheritance tax changes—including the 2027 shift pulling unused pensions into estates. Pair that with Thailand’s evolving visa rules and AI-driven scrutiny of bank transfers, and the message is clear: stay informed, stay compliant, and be ready to pivot. No panic, just preparation.

If you’re managing everything on your own, consider how much time you want to spend refreshing charts and reading tax PDFs. If you’re already invested, check that your structures still serve your goals as policies change. Listen, share your biggest money blind spot, and if this helped, subscribe and leave a review so more expats can find their footing.

  • Eight Days in Pattaya: Parties ,Hangover, Hard Truths, Hope and aThreesome
    2025/10/05

    Send us a text

The night started loud—neon, cocktails with flames, free Jägerbombs—and ended with a quiet question we couldn’t shake: when does “fun” stop being fun? We dive into an eight-day sprint through Pattaya’s clubs with a longtime listener, where tastes get picky, bills climb fast, and a VIP plan falls apart because someone chose a lie over a straight answer. It’s a lesson in boundaries and trust—yes, even in places where everything seems transactional. Honesty still counts.

From there, we navigate culture and consent at a tomboy club and the unspoken rules that protect guests and workers. Desire is one thing; respect is another. We try to craft a better plan with help from a savvy friend who knows the scene, only to watch nerves derail the moment. The thread running through it all is simple and stubborn: how you move matters more than where you go.

Then the story shifts. A friend shows up at our door in crisis, high on meth and asking for a key. We talk about what it takes to hold space for someone detoxing—the sleep, the food, the emotional whiplash—and why quitting isn’t the hardest part; staying off is. It’s not a PSA. It’s life here, raw and unfiltered, especially within the ladyboy community that too many people still treat like an afterthought.

We also get real about creative burnout and the temptation to quit the show. We almost said goodbye. Instead, we chose to double down on what makes this project worth it: unscripted honesty, no PR gloss, and a platform where voices from Pattaya—yes, including ladyboys—speak for themselves. Some weeks will soar, some will stumble, but none will pretend.

If this resonates, subscribe, share it with a friend, and leave a review with one thing you want us to dig into next. Your support keeps us here, telling the truth when the lights turn down.

  • Mike's Podcast Confessions: When Faking It Isn't Making It (No Ladyboys Today)
    2025/09/19

    Send us a text

Vulnerability rarely makes an appearance in expat podcasts about Thailand, but in this raw solo episode, I pull back the curtain on both my mental health struggles and the financial reality of creating independent content. While I genuinely love my life in Pattaya and remain grateful for every sunrise I witness here, I've recently found myself battling low energy days that have affected my ability to maintain our regular podcast schedule.

After two years of production, I'm finally addressing something that's been weighing on me - I haven't been fully honest with you. Despite occasionally implying that listener support funds our equipment and studio time, the truth is everything comes out of my pocket. With just two financial supporters, we don't even cover basic hosting costs. This admission represents my rejection of the "fake it till you make it" mentality that pervades online content creation. While I can continue funding everything myself for several more months, there will eventually be a limit to what I can sustain without additional support.

Beyond finances, this episode explores something universally relevant regardless of where you live - the importance of mental health and supportive relationships. I share my personal strategies for navigating difficult periods, emphasizing how crucial it is to surround yourself with people who genuinely care about your wellbeing. From my experience, reaching out when you're struggling isn't met with judgment but with respect and support. If you're feeling down, whether in Thailand or anywhere else, remember that tomorrow might be better - and there have been countless times in my life where pushing through difficult periods led to complete transformations just months later. I'm taking next week off to recharge, but I'll be back soon with more authentic conversations about the Thailand you don't see in travel brochures. If you value what we're building here, please consider supporting us through Patreon, or even just leaving a comment or like to let me know you're listening.

  • The Three Musketeers share their unfiltered experiences with ladyboys, friendships, and Pattaya nightlife
    2025/09/07

    Send us a text

What happens when you leave paradise and return to reality? Scott, freshly back from England after three weeks that "felt like fucking months," brings raw perspective on the crushing differences between Thai and Western living. His unfiltered account of freezing in 20°C weather while locals wore t-shirts, paying £80 for a 50-minute taxi (compared to £27 for a two-hour ride in Thailand), and encountering dismissive attitudes from women paints a vivid picture of reverse culture shock.

The Three Musketeers reunite in this vodka-fueled episode to explore what makes Thailand magnetic for Western expatriates. Through personal stories, they reveal how astronomical Western living costs are driving a quiet exodus of those seeking better quality of life. Michel adds fascinating context about how Europeans who once visited Thailand twice yearly now struggle to come even once, highlighting a growing global financial squeeze that's changing tourism patterns.

Between laughter and heartfelt moments, the trio delves into housing in Pattaya (7,000 baht monthly for quality accommodation), Scott's painful motocross accident, and surprisingly thoughtful reflections on respecting people in the nightlife industry. They challenge listeners to see beyond stereotypes and build genuine connections. Whether you're contemplating escape from Western financial pressures or simply curious about expatriate perspectives, this conversation offers honest insights into what happens when different worlds collide.

  • Gold-Digging, hustling, and Getting Paid. by Koi Pattaya’s Sexiest Ladyboy
    2025/08/21

    Send us a text

Ever paid for a Affection in Pattaya and wondered what it really costs?

In this unfiltered, no-bullsh*t episode of My Thai Wife Podcast, Mike sits down with Koi, the sexiest ladyboy in Thailand’s wildest city, for a conversation that’s equal parts seductive, shocking, and soul-baring. If you’ve ever walked down Soi 6 and thought you understood the game—think again.

Koi has spent nearly a decade navigating the neon-lit jungle of Pattaya’s bar scene. From her early days hustling 2,500 baht plus drink commissions on Soi-7 to her current reign at 69 Bar, she’s seen it all: the players, the paydays, the promises, and the heartbreak. She breaks down the unwritten rules of bar girl survival—how to flirt without feeling, how to spot a wallet from across the room, and how to keep the fantasy alive just long enough to get paid.

“I gotta have iPhone. I gotta have gold,” she says, with the kind of unapologetic swagger that only comes from living the hustle. She’s been the fantasy—dolled up, seductive, and ready to play the part. But now? She’s done acting. Koi strips off the mask and lays it all bare: the emotional toll, the blurred lines between love and transaction, and the moment she chose truth over performance.

Mike guides the conversation with his signature mix of comic edge, streetwise curiosity, and deep respect for the Game and its Rules. He doesn’t just ask questions—he digs. And what comes out isn’t just juicy nightlife gossip—it’s a raw, intimate portrait of a Ladyboy who’s lived every shade of Pattaya’s pleasure and pain.

This episode isn’t for the faint of heart. It’s for the curious, the jaded, the romantics, and the skeptics. Whether you’ve been seduced, scammed, or just fascinated by Thailand’s nightlife, Koi’s story will slap you awake, challenge your assumptions, and leave you questioning everything you thought you knew about ladyboys, love, and the price of connection.

Subscribe, leave a review, and support The Podcast on Patreon to keep these wild, unfiltered voices coming straight from Pattaya's underbelly to your earbuds. Because in Pattaya, the truth is always sexier than the fantasy.

  • Vampires, Bargirls, Sangsom and Ladyboys: The Full Pattaya Experience
    2025/08/15

    Send us a text

What happens when life takes an unexpected turn and you find yourself building a completely different reality than you planned? Meet Kat, a 29-year-old Californian whose path veered dramatically from Japan to Thailand during the pandemic, creating a life that revolves around Pattaya's pulsing nightlife.

"I was going nuts back home just sitting around," Kat explains, describing his impulsive decision to relocate to Thailand when borders reopened. Starting in Bangkok before settling in Pattaya, he reveals the fascinating economics of expat life—how he lives comfortably on less than $15,000 annually while maintaining a lifestyle that would be unsustainable in the West. "I live cheap," he shares, "even when I'm making money too."

The conversation offers rare insights into Pattaya's bar culture, where manager positions typically pay around 30,000 baht ($850) monthly plus commission. Kat's unconventional schedule—waking at 10:30 PM and socializing until morning—perfectly aligns with what he calls a "night town" atmosphere. "Everything's at night here," he explains, revealing how this nocturnal rhythm actually matches his natural tendencies back home.

We explore his entrepreneurial past breeding French Bulldogs (selling puppies for $3,000-12,000 each), cultural misunderstandings between tourists and locals, and the unique social dynamics that make Thailand's expat communities so distinctive. For anyone curious about alternative lifestyles or considering their own international adventure, this candid conversation pulls back the curtain on the realities—both challenging and liberating—of creating a life abroad on your own terms.
