Imagine a cult leader who wears nothing but a Speedo, sunglasses, and a disturbing amount of control over hundreds of followers. That’s not fiction—it’s the real-life story of Jaime Gomez, also known as “Michel,” the manipulative guru at the center of the Buddhafield Cult.

In this episode, we slip into the bizarre and disturbing world of the Buddhafield—where promises of spiritual enlightenment masked decades of psychological abuse, manipulation, and trauma. Fueled by control, vanity, and fear, this cult thrived for over 20 years before its secrets unraveled through the lens of one insider’s camera. We’ll explore the rise, the followers, the breakdown, and the haunting impact that still lingers for those who lived it.

  • BONUS: The Tote, The Lake, and the Lies: The Murder of Traci Leigh Jones
    2025/04/21

    Send us a text

This week’s regular episode was a little shorter than usual—so I’m bringing you a bonus case. But this one? It’s heavy.

Traci Leigh Jones was a young woman from Dublin, Texas, just trying to make her way in the world. Instead, she became the victim of a calculated and horrific crime. Her body was found stuffed in a tote, floating in a Tennessee lake. What followed was a shocking unraveling of the truth—one that revealed twisted motives, an exploitative scheme, and a justice system struggling to keep up.

In this episode, we honor Traci's life, examine the manipulation that led to her death, and hold space for the very real dangers faced by women like her. This story matters—and it's not one you’ll forget.

  • Episode 3: The Boy, The Impostor, and the Mother Who Never Stopped Searching: The Walter Collins Case
    2025/04/21

    Send us a text

In 1928 Los Angeles, a 9-year-old boy went missing—and what followed was a tangle of lies, political corruption, and one woman’s relentless pursuit of the truth. When the LAPD tried to silence Christine Collins by handing her someone else’s child, she refused to back down. Instead, she exposed systemic abuse, demanded justice, and became a symbol of strength in the face of impossible loss.

In this episode, we unravel the heartbreaking story of Walter Collins—the boy who vanished—and the impostor who took his place. We also explore the horrifying connection to one of California’s most notorious killers, and how one mother’s voice echoed louder than an entire institution determined to bury the truth.
