It took more than 20 years to build the current Union Station. In 1972, the Toronto production of Godspell featured one of the greatest casts in the history of theatre, including Eugene Levy, Martin Short, Gilda Radner, Andrea Martin, Victor Garber, Dave Thomas and Paul Shaffer among others. The SS Noronic was known as the Queen of the Lakes. For 36 years, she transported passengers in comfort and style. Until the night she caught fire at the foot of Yonge Street and at least 118 passengers died.
