Paul is now in his final stage of the bad news before the good news of the Gospel. He will anticipate a big question; Since both Jews and Gentiles are all under sin, then what is the benefit of being a Jew? And of course Paul will give a magnificent answer: He says that the Jews have been entrusted with God's word. You have had God's word to lead and guide you. And man oh man what great benefit that is!

The great theme of the letter to the Romans is "The Just Shall Live by Faith." We are justified by our Faith/Trust in Jesus as the only God and that He came to save us by dying on a cross and rose from the dead three days later. When we truly believe that, we are justified, declared innocent of all sin. And let me add, this results in we who are unrighteous (Which is all of us) are now declared righteous because we take on the righteousness of Jesus. Paul will continue that theme in this study.
