Paul now takes us into the deep rooted reason as to why humans sin and more importantly, justify their sin. One of the most telling statements of Paul is, "Professing to be wise they became fools." This is in response to man moving away from God and making themselves into mini-gods and justifying sin. Tonight we will see Paul, like a courtroom prosecuting attorney, making a case for the problem with the world.

The great theme of the letter to the Romans is "The Just Shall Live by Faith." We are justified by our Faith/Trust in Jesus as the only God and that He came to save us by dying on a cross and rose from the dead three days later. When we truly believe that, we are justified, declared innocent of all sin. And let me add, this results in we who are unrighteous (Which is all of us) are now declared righteous because we take on the righteousness of Jesus. Paul will continue that theme in this study.
