A recommendation led to a 2023 movie called Nefarious, a Christian horror film about a death row inmate who claims to be possessed, and a psychiatrist trying to determine if he's insane or telling the truth. The theology in it is sharper than expected, and it got me thinking about something a lot of us have heard before: the idea that demon possession in the New Testament was just an ancient, unscientific way of describing what we now understand as mental illness.

Looking at several real, documented criminal cases where the person described hearing voices commanding them to act, we need to not be too quick to write off spiritual explanations in these scenarios. In a culture that largely doesn’t believe evil is real, we need the name of Jesus more than ever.

If you or someone you know is hearing voices urging self-harm or harm to others, please treat that as an emergency. Call or text 988 (the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline) or go to your nearest emergency room right away. Prayer and professional care are not in competition with each other, and command hallucinations telling someone to hurt themselves or another person are a serious warning sign that always deserves immediate professional help alongside anything spiritual.

Here's the problem with chasing diversity as a goal: whatever you pursue is your idol. If you're spending your energy engineering a certain look for your tribe, that's energy you're not spending on the Great Commission. Nobody would ever tell an all black church in Nigeria or an all white church in rural Virginia that they need to diversify. Bottom line: stop letting culture hand you a bullseye you can never hit. Servant leadership gets mentioned in almost every conversation about leadership in the church, but a lot of Christian men are using the term to quietly get out of leading at all. Goose breaks down what servant leadership actually means, using Jesus washing his disciples' feet as the example, and why the word leader never gets cancelled out by the word servant. If you've ever used the phrase "servant leader" to explain why you're not stepping up, this episode is a direct challenge to rethink that.Follow Men's AllianceInstagram - https://www.instagram.com/mensalliancetribe/Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/mensalliancetribeTiktok - https://www.tiktok.com/@mensalliancetribeWebsite - https://www.mensalliancetribe.com/Explore Battlefield Coaching today and find yourself a Coach with experience overcoming a battle you are currently facing - https://battlefieldcoaching.comOrder the Book - Answer With Truth: The Ambassador’s Field Manual for Leading Your Family Spiritually - https://amzn.to/3BmnuKV

Red almost didn't have a tribe to lead. The Virginia Beach tribe he first joined was about to be dissolved before he ever got the chance to launch his own. Red, tribe leader of Huntsman Tribe in Virginia Beach, shares how he got to Men's Alliance, his story of coming to faith, and one of the wildest true stories we've had on this podcast: his car catching fire on I-64 on the way to Carry the Fire training, and why he still showed up that same day.

LaRon started running with an American flag because he felt God tell him to, and what started as one run across a bridge in Mount Juliet, Tennessee turned into a following of thousands and a story most people never see coming.

In this episode, LaRon sits down with us to talk about the encounters he's had while running (the encouragement, the horn honks, and the confrontations), what the label "Christian nationalist" actually means to him, and then he opens up about the losses that shaped who he is today: his brother, his sister, his mother, and later his father, each taken within a few years of one another.
