📖 Get a Grip… Rest in His Grip
✝ John 10:22–30
St. Paul Lutheran Church, Sheboygan Falls, WI
We’ve all heard it: “Get a grip!” In moments of stress, pain, or deep loss, well-meaning words can sometimes make us feel even more alone—like we’re left to carry the burden ourselves. But today, Jesus speaks a better word. He doesn’t tell you to "figure it out" or "pull yourself together." Instead, your Good Shepherd invites you to rest… in His grip.
Jesus says: “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them... no one will snatch them out of My hand.” (John 10:27–28)
You are not alone. You are not forgotten. You are not on your own.
In the hands of Christ—crucified and risen—you are secure, known, and loved.
🧠 Key Takeaways
We live in a “Get a Grip” culture—but that’s not where our help comes from.
Jesus doesn’t tell us to get a grip. He holds us in His grip.
No one—nothing—can snatch you from the hand of your Good Shepherd.
Real rest and real peace come from the One who knows you by name.
🙏 Join us in worship and find comfort in the Shepherd who knows your every need.
