  • Consider Your Ways
    2026/10/11

Pastor Derrill preached on “Consider Your Ways” from Haggai 1:2–9. After sixteen years of the temple sitting unfinished, God challenged His people to look at their priorities. They had focused on building comfortable lives for themselves while God’s house remained in ruins. The issue was not a lack of resources, but what they had chosen to put first.

Pastor Derrill reminded us that what we prioritize reveals what matters most to us. Sometimes “the time has not yet come” can become an excuse to stay comfortable instead of obeying what God has called us to do. The restart begins when we honestly examine our lives, reorder our priorities, and put God back at the center.

  • Winning the Battle Within
    2026/10/04

Pastor Jon Jon preached on “Winning the Battle Within” from Ephesians 6:10–18, focusing on how spiritual warfare often begins in the mind. Our thoughts shape our beliefs, emotions, decisions, and actions, which is why the enemy often attacks through lies, fear, condemnation, accusation, and doubt. The battle can be won or lost in our thinking before it ever shows up in our behavior.

Pastor Jon Jon reminded us that the helmet of salvation protects our minds by grounding us in what Christ has already done for us. Because of Jesus, we can remember that we are forgiven, redeemed, belong to Christ, and have a secure future. We do not have to accept the thoughts the enemy tries to place on us; instead, we can put on what Christ has given us and stand in the victory of our salvation.

  • Joy and Tears at the Foundation
    2026/09/20

Pastor Asim preached on “Joy and Tears at the Foundation” from Ezra 3:8–13, where the Israelites gathered to celebrate the laying of the temple’s foundation. For many, it was a moment of incredible joy because rebuilding had finally begun. But for those who remembered the former temple, the same moment brought tears. The passage shows us that joy and grief can exist at the same time, and neither emotion has to cancel out the other.

Pastor Asim reminded us that beginnings are worth celebrating, even when they seem small compared to what came before. It can be easy to become so focused on the past that we miss what God is doing in the present. Instead of allowing the memory of “what was” to poison the promise of “what’s next,” we can honor the past while still trusting God with the new thing He is building.

  • The Work That Stopped
    2026/09/27

Pastor Derrill preached on “The Work That Stopped” from Ezra 4:1–5, 24. After the foundation was laid, opposition and discouragement began to wear down the people until the rebuilding of the temple came to a complete standstill. The promise of God had not failed, but the people had allowed resistance and fear to stop the work God had called them to do.

Pastor Derrill reminded us that discouragement often has a source, and we need to recognize what is working against the things God has placed in front of us. A delay does not mean defeat, and a season where progress has stopped does not mean the story is over. Sometimes we need God to bring a fresh voice, fresh courage, and fresh perspective to get moving again.

  • When the Word Went Out
    2026/09/13

Pastor Derrill Corbin preached on “When the Word Went Out” from Ezra 1:1–5, showing how God begins the work of rebuilding by first stirring hearts. Before there was a strategy or a plan, God moved King Cyrus and then stirred ordinary people to respond to His call.

In this message, Pastor Derrill reminds us that God initiates before we organize, that a stirred heart is the first building material, and that answering God’s call often requires us to leave behind what is familiar. When God speaks and moves, our responsibility is to be willing to get up and go.

  • The Believer's Inheritance
    2026/09/06

Pastor Derrill preached on “The Believer’s Inheritance,” a message about divine healing and the belief that healing is part of what Jesus purchased for believers through the cross. Looking at scriptures including Isaiah 53, Matthew 8, and 1 Peter 2, Pastor Derrill explained that God reveals Himself as Jehovah Rapha—the Lord who heals—and that healing flows from His character and covenant promises.

Throughout the message, Pastor Derrill emphasized that faith is not about trying to believe hard enough or forcing God to act. Instead, faith is trusting who God is and reaching for what He has already provided. At the same time, believers can pray boldly for healing while trusting God with the timing and outcome, without condemning those who are still waiting for their healing.

Healing is also not reserved for pastors, ministers, or people with a special gift. Jesus called ordinary believers to pray for the sick and carry His presence into the lives of hurting people. Pastor Derrill challenged Mannahouse to move from simply believing in healing to actively praying for others, receiving this inheritance, and freely giving away what God has given us.

  • An unshakable life
    2026/08/30

Pastor Derrill preached on "An Unshakable Life" from Hebrews 12:28–13:8, bringing the book of Hebrews to a powerful conclusion by showing that faith is more than what we believe—it is reflected in how we live. Because we have received an unshakable kingdom through Jesus Christ, our response should be a life marked by gratitude, worship, generosity, integrity, and genuine love for others. A faith anchored in Christ is not merely professed; it is demonstrated in everyday obedience.

Throughout the message, Pastor Derrill emphasized that gratitude is the foundation of a stable life. Rather than being shaken by changing circumstances, believers are called to fix their hearts on God's unchanging kingdom and faithful character. As our relationship with Christ deepens, our faith becomes visible through practical expressions of love, hospitality, compassion, and trust. The transformation God produces within us naturally overflows into the way we treat others and live each day.

This message challenges us to evaluate whether our lives truly reflect the faith we proclaim. An unshakable life is built not on temporary circumstances but on the unchanging person of Jesus Christ. As we keep Him at the center, gratitude replaces fear, obedience flows from love, and our lives become a testimony of God's enduring faithfulness. When Christ is our foundation, we can stand firm through every season, knowing that His kingdom—and those who belong to it—cannot be shaken.

  • Swing before you see it
    2026/08/16

Pastor Derrill preached on "Swing Before You See It" from Hebrews 11:1–16, reminding us that biblical faith is not blind optimism but confident trust in God's promises before they become visible. Throughout Hebrews 11, we see men and women who refused to let uncertainty define their future. Instead of waiting for every detail to make sense, they obeyed God's voice, trusting that He would faithfully fulfill what He had promised.

Throughout the message, Pastor Derrill explained that faith always moves before everything is visible. The heroes of faith did not settle for comfort or security—they lived with an eternal perspective that shaped every decision. Their confidence wasn't rooted in what they could see but in the character of the God who had called them. Even when the destination was unknown, they continued walking because they believed God was leading them toward something greater.

The sermon challenged believers to exchange hesitation for obedience. While our natural tendency is to wait until every question is answered, God often calls us to take the next faithful step before the full picture is revealed. Real faith is demonstrated through action, not merely belief. As we trust God's promises above our circumstances, we discover that He meets us in our obedience, strengthens us through every step, and leads us into the purpose He has prepared. Faith doesn't wait until the path is completely clear—it moves forward, trusting that God is already there.
