Pastor Derrill preached on “The Believer’s Inheritance,” a message about divine healing and the belief that healing is part of what Jesus purchased for believers through the cross. Looking at scriptures including Isaiah 53, Matthew 8, and 1 Peter 2, Pastor Derrill explained that God reveals Himself as Jehovah Rapha—the Lord who heals—and that healing flows from His character and covenant promises.
Throughout the message, Pastor Derrill emphasized that faith is not about trying to believe hard enough or forcing God to act. Instead, faith is trusting who God is and reaching for what He has already provided. At the same time, believers can pray boldly for healing while trusting God with the timing and outcome, without condemning those who are still waiting for their healing.
Healing is also not reserved for pastors, ministers, or people with a special gift. Jesus called ordinary believers to pray for the sick and carry His presence into the lives of hurting people. Pastor Derrill challenged Mannahouse to move from simply believing in healing to actively praying for others, receiving this inheritance, and freely giving away what God has given us.
