Do you wish you had enough time in your day to get everything done? Are you tired of feeling exhausted, overwhelmed, and impatient with your kids? Do you wonder what it would be like to say “no” and prioritize your needs for a change? I am so excited you’re here! This podcast is for the mamas who are doing all the things and running on empty. If you are looking to regain your peace, become a more patient mom, and finally have the time to be fully present with your family instead of worrying about everything that needs to be done, then this show is for you. Hey, I’m Rachel. A wife, child of God, and fellow mama in the trenches. For years, my days felt chaotic, my time felt hijacked, and peace felt like a fantasy. I was living in survival mode, placing my hope in planners and to-do lists. I finally realized that if I was going to have a peaceful home and stop letting the enemy steal my joy and my time, I needed to implement systems to get me there. I created a routine that fits ME and my family. A simple strategy that we could actually stick with. A lifestyle that made managing our time not just doable, but sustainable . And I’m ready to share it with you! Each week, we will talk routines, time hacks, mindset shifts, and real-life ways to bring calm back into your home and heart. Because burnout isn’t the plan. Let’s reset and find the peace you’ve been craving together. Heat up your morning coffee and throw that laundry back in the dryer, my friend. It’s time to jump in.Copyright 2025 Mama’s Tired. • Episode 77: 3 Reasons Why You Should Eat More to Lose Weight
    2024/11/05

When women come to me to work together on their nutrition, I always end up hearing so many sad stories. These women are living lives where they’ve been skipping meals for years in order to lose weight. When they do eventually end up eating, they are terrified of carbs or eating over the 1,200 calories we've all been conditioned to think is a "magic" number. The nutrition world has come so far, and yet, the bad advice given years ago just won’t seem to go away.

When your goal is weight loss, you do need to be mindful of the calories you consume. However, when you aren’t eating enough, your weight loss efforts can be hindered as well.

Let’s talk about 3 reasons why you should actually be eating MORE in order to lose weight.

    In this episode, we cover:
    • Eating more (not less) to lose weight

    • How the restriction of calories can lead to self-sabotage

    • How the right type (not just the amount) of food matters

    • Why adequate calorie consumption is essential for optimal health in all areas

MORE ABOUT FEED YOURSELF: HEALTHY HABITS FOR THE MIND, BODY, & SOUL PODCAST:

Feed Yourself: Healthy Habits for the Mind, Body, & Soul is all about learning the key components of overall health based on Biblical principles. When most people think about getting in shape and becoming “healthy”, they immediately think about their physical health: losing weight, making exercise a priority, possessing flexibility and endurance, and remaining disease free. But Scripture makes it clear that physical wellness is not the only area that impacts health. In order to be TRULY healthy, we have to focus on four areas: spiritual health, emotional health, mental health, and physical health.

This podcast dives deep into the tools and head knowledge you will need in order to create lasting results, but it also looks at the element that truly ties it all together - the heart knowledge that incorporates faith in God in this area of our lives and how to apply it when things get tough (and they will!).

I wanted to create a space to let you know you are never alone on this journey. Through years of experience in doing everything the WRONG way, I am here to share my journey of getting healthy from the inside out - ditching the restriction and diet culture and truly learning to treat my body as the temple God intended it to be.

Grab a cup of coffee and join me as I discuss healthy habits to incorporate in your daily life to propel you forward and FEED YOURSELF on your journey to health in all areas: mind, body, and soul!

  • Episode 76: The Mental Health and Nutrition Connection
    2024/10/15

There is a strong correlation between our nutrition and mental health. Unfortunately, the American diet is overloaded with processed foods that can lead to an increased risk of depression, cognitive impairment, and ADHD. On the flip side, a diet that centers around nutritious whole foods can actually help prevent many mental illnesses in most cases.

Here are four tips for improving your own mental health through a tried and trusted nutrition approach.

    In this episode, we cover:
    • How your mental health is closely related to what you eat

    • Ways to ensure adequate physical and mental health

    • Tips to promote overall wellness through nutrition

    • Adequate calorie consumption for brain health
