  • Make Peace With Life Podcast #007 – Mental Health.
    2026/07/12

Welcome to Make Peace With Life Podcast #007 – Mental Health.

In this episode, we begin by discussing one of the most important topics of our time: Mental Health. Fortunately, conversations surrounding mental health have become more open and accepted than ever before, helping remove the stigma that has prevented so many people from seeking help. We talk about common signs that may indicate someone is struggling, the difference between everyday stress and more serious mental health concerns, and why checking in on ourselves and others can make a tremendous difference. Most importantly, if you or someone you know is in crisis, help is available. In the United States and Canada, call or text 988 to reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. If you believe someone is in immediate danger, contact emergency services right away. Remember: asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness.

In our second segment, we focus on the importance of continual self-improvement. Learning new skills, exploring new ideas, and challenging yourself not only strengthens your mind but can also improve your confidence, physical well-being, and overall outlook on life. We also discuss the dangers of becoming too comfortable. While comfort zones feel safe, they can often become invisible barriers that prevent us from growing into the person we're capable of becoming. Sometimes the greatest breakthroughs happen just outside the edge of what feels familiar.

Next, we take a turn into the more mystical side of the Make Peace With Life universe as we explore the history and fascination surrounding Ouija Boards and Psychic Mediums. We discuss where these practices originated, why they continue to captivate people around the world, and how questions about intuition, energy, consciousness, and the unknown may connect to our personal journeys. Whether you're a believer, a skeptic, or somewhere in between, this conversation offers a thoughtful and entertaining look at a subject that has fascinated humanity for generations.

Finally, we spend some time talking about one of our favorite bands, Dirty Heads. We discuss their unique blend of reggae, rock, hip-hop, and positive energy, their upcoming tour, new music, and why their laid-back outlook seems to fit perfectly with the spirit of Make Peace With Life. If you're looking for good vibes, thoughtful lyrics, and music that reminds you to enjoy the journey, the Dirty Heads might already be speaking your language.

  • Make Peace With Life Shortcast #012 – The Highs and Lows of Self-Improvement.
    2026/07/08

Welcome to Make Peace With Life Shortcast #012 – The Highs and Lows of Self-Improvement.

In this episode, we take a closer look at the multi-billion-dollar Self-Improvement Industry and explore both its benefits and its potential pitfalls. There is no doubt that personal growth, learning, and self-discovery can help us become happier, healthier, and more fulfilled people. However, many self-improvement programs begin with a troubling message: that you are somehow broken and need to be fixed. We challenge that idea and discuss why growth should come from a desire to become more of who you truly are—not from the belief that there is something wrong with you.

We also explore where real motivation comes from and why lasting change cannot simply be purchased, downloaded, or handed to you by someone else. While books, podcasts, coaches, and courses can provide valuable guidance, the spark that creates meaningful transformation ultimately comes from within. Self-improvement is not a magic formula—it is a personal journey that requires effort, honesty, consistency, and patience.

Finally, we discuss one of life's oldest lessons: if something sounds too good to be true, it probably deserves a closer look. Real growth rarely happens overnight. It isn't always glamorous, easy, or exciting, but the rewards can be life-changing. By embracing both the highs and the lows of the journey, we can continue growing, learning, and becoming more at peace with ourselves and the world around us.

  • Make Peace With Life Podcast #006 – I'm Hungry
    2026/07/05

Welcome to Make Peace With Life Podcast #006 – I'm Hungry.

In this episode, we explore a different kind of hunger—not the kind that comes from an empty stomach, but the hunger that fuels our dreams, ambitions, and passions. We discuss how desire can be one of the most powerful forces in our lives, pushing us to stay creative, remain focused, and continue pursuing the things that matter most to us. Sometimes a little hunger is exactly what keeps us moving forward.

Next, we take a ride through one of my favorite weekly rituals: the Sunday bike ride. What starts as a combination of music, exercise, and fresh air unexpectedly evolves into a spiritual experience that brings a renewed appreciation for life's details. Along the way, nature delivers a reminder that sometimes the greatest lessons arrive when we least expect them—and occasionally with a bit of a smack in the face.

In our third segment, we discuss the importance of trusting the energy we feel around us. Whether it's the energy of another person, a situation, or a moment in our lives, many of us have experienced that inner voice telling us something isn't quite right—or perhaps that everything is exactly as it should be. Too often we dismiss these feelings, only to look back later and wish we had listened. We explore the connection between intuition, awareness, and the ways our body, mind, and soul interpret energy long before our logical minds catch up.

Finally, we gather around the Make Peace With Life Energy Pool, adding more positive energy to our growing community reserve. If you're struggling, feeling overwhelmed, or simply need a boost, we invite you to draw from the collective positivity, encouragement, and support of those walking this journey with us. Together, we continue building a community where we lift one another up and remind ourselves that none of us have to navigate life alone.

  • Make Peace With Life Podcast #005 – Give Back With What You Can.
    2026/06/28

Welcome to Make Peace With Life Podcast #005 – Give Back With What You Can.

In this episode, we explore the many different ways people can give back—not just to the world and humanity, but also to themselves. While money is often seen as the most common form of giving, we discuss how some of the most meaningful contributions come through your time, your effort, your kindness, your positive energy, and simply being there for others. Sometimes a conversation, a helping hand, or genuine support can change someone’s entire day—or even their life.

We also dive into a powerful message my mother shared with me years ago: “It is nobody’s job to take care of you.” It’s a phrase that may sound tough at first, but it carries an important truth about growth, responsibility, and gratitude. We talk about how society can sometimes condition us to rely heavily on others, and while support systems are incredibly valuable, it’s easy to begin expecting people to constantly carry us through life. This conversation reflects on learning independence while still appreciating the love and help we receive from those around us.

Later in the episode, we discuss our recent trip to the Pacific Northwest, especially Seattle, Washington, and the laid-back, creative, almost hippie-like energy that surrounds the city. Seattle feels like a place that has managed to grow into a major city without completely losing its soul or identity, and we reflect on the vibe, culture, and energy that make it unique. Finally, we revisit the Make Peace With Life Positive Energy Pool, adding more positive energy into the community reserve so anyone going through difficult times can stop by, recharge, and remember they are not alone.

  • Make Peace With Life Shortcast #010 – Please Slow Down.
    2026/06/24

Welcome to Make Peace With Life Shortcast #010 – Please Slow Down.

In this episode, we take a look at a message that seems more important today than ever before: Please Slow Down. Inspired by my recent book of the same name, we discuss how modern life has become increasingly fast-paced, demanding, and overwhelming. Technology, social media, constant notifications, and endless responsibilities have created a world that rarely pauses. While life may never return to a slower era, that doesn't mean we can't find ways to slow our experience of it.

We explore practical and metaphysical ways to regain control of our time, attention, and energy. Sometimes slowing down isn't about doing less—it's about being more present. Whether it's taking a walk, spending time in nature, putting down the phone, enjoying a conversation, or simply taking a deep breath, there are countless ways to create moments of peace within a busy world. The goal isn't to stop life from moving forward; it's to stop life from passing us by unnoticed.

We also take a moment to discuss my book promotion service, Book Promotion Library, where I help authors introduce their books to new readers and gain greater visibility in a crowded marketplace. Supporting authors and helping great books find their audience has become a passion of mine, and I'm always excited to help writers share their work with the world.

If you're interested in exploring more of my writing, be sure to check out my books on Amazon, including Make Peace With Life, Upgrade You!, Get Your Head Out of Your Metaphysical Ass, Business Powered by Metaphysics, and of course, Please Slow Down. And while you're at it, visit MakePeaceWithLife.com to listen to our podcasts and shortcasts, explore the blog, join the community, and discover new ways to bring a little more peace, awareness, and positivity into your life.

Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do isn't speed up—it’s simply to slow down. ✌️

  • Make Peace With Life Podcast #004 - The Anticipation Factor
    2026/06/21

In this episode, we dive into one of the most powerful forces in human life: anticipation. Sometimes the build-up to an event can feel even more exciting than the event itself. Why is that? We explore how anticipation fuels creativity, heightens awareness, and creates an energetic spark that keeps us moving forward. Maybe the magic isn’t always in the destination—maybe it’s in the countdown, the wondering, and the possibility.

We also venture into the metaphysical side of consciousness with a discussion about the Double Dream—those strange moments when you dream, wake up, and then fall back into another dream that somehow connects to the first one. Coincidence? Subconscious storytelling? Or something deeper connecting the layers of our awareness? From there, we talk about the legendary treasure hunters of The Curse of Oak Island and whether the real treasure may not be gold at all—but the perseverance, hope, and purpose found in the endless pursuit itself. Sometimes chasing the mystery changes us more than finding the answer ever could.

To close the episode, we explore the idea that love is a renewable resource. Unlike money, time, or energy, love expands the more we give it away. Whether it’s for our partners, family, passions, work, hobbies, or the things that make us feel alive, human beings are wired with an unlimited supply of love—we just have to allow ourselves to access it. Along the way, expect the usual mix of humor, deep thoughts, metaphysical twists, and real conversation that make Make Peace With Life what it is.

  • Make Peace With Life Shortcast #009 – Great Beer But No Glass.
    2026/06/17

Welcome to Make Peace With Life Shortcast #009 – Great Beer But No Glass.

In this episode, we take a flavorful journey through some of the incredible breweries of the Pacific Northwest. Our first stop is Old Stove Brewing in Seattle, where we enjoyed a pint of their delicious Amber Waves alongside a burger that perfectly complemented the experience. From there, we headed to Port Townsend Brewing, where the relaxed atmosphere and a bold European-style ale called Goat 45 delivered both character and flavor in every sip.

The adventure continued at Barhop Brewing in Port Angeles, where a glass of Crescent Amber paired with some absolutely unforgettable pizza made for a memorable stop on the journey. Each brewery brought something unique to the table—great beer, great food, and great memories that remind us why exploring local businesses can be such a rewarding experience.

But despite all the amazing brews and hospitality, there was one small problem. Not a single brewery had a pint glass available to add to my collection. For someone who enjoys bringing home a glass as a souvenir and reminder of the journey, this was a bit of a disappointment. Yet, as we often discuss on this podcast, life doesn't always unfold exactly the way we want it to.

So this episode becomes a lighthearted reminder that sometimes the lesson isn't in what we gain, but in what we leave behind. The beer was excellent, the food was outstanding, and the experiences were worth every mile traveled. The glasses may have stayed behind, but the memories came home with me. And in true Make Peace With Life fashion, I had to make peace with the fact that there would be no new glasses on the shelf this time around.

Be sure to visit MakePeaceWithLife.com to listen to more podcasts and shortcasts, explore the blog, join the community, pick up a copy of the Make Peace With Life book on Amazon, and check out our shirts with FREE shipping. Because whether life gives you a souvenir or not, the journey is always worth taking. ✌️
