• Promotion for App Developers and Creators on The Base App using Inflynce
    2025/11/25

In this conversation, Ali Tıknazoğlu and I discuss how his miniapp for The Base App and Farcaster empowers founders and creators by providing a human-powered marketing engine. App developers and creators want attention and to promote their stuff. Fans want to promote and connect to creators and builders. Ali's platform "Inflynce" allows both sides to monetize attention. Everyday users can earn money by promoting, and creators and builders can garner attention by paying users on the platform. So, everyone can become part of the ad engine. What's unique about Inflynce is that you don't have to have a following already to promote, as anyone can be part of the network, not just your existing followers. We also discuss other topics in Web3 as well, such as "the tokenization of everything" through platforms like The Base App from Coinbase, and Zora.

  • AI Coding Tools: Designers Becoming Developers?
    2025/02/14

I give my assessment of what's happening with AI coding tools and how they're changing software development. I'm a longtime designer and product manager and I'm finding that they are powerful, but you still have to know software engineering as the models can still write code that isn't appropriate for the scenario. Designers and developers are now having overlapping duties with AI being able to do each others' jobs. The tech industry may see a shift towards smaller development teams, as a result. It's clear these tools will be changing software development significantly. Have you tried any yet? Let me know in the comments how these tools work for you and which ones you've tried.

  • Riff Raff App with Sacco!
    2025/02/07

This week I talk to Emmanuel Saccoccini "Sacco" from Riff Raff an app that allows musicians to collaborate from anywhere. This app is fun and is a perfect example of expanding the music market in a casual way, but also letting more committed artists find new audiences. Music tech can reach many and the "casual musician" and "social musician" are good personas to explore.

The app aims to rekindle the joy of playing music by connecting musicians who share similar tastes, providing a platform for creativity and community. Socko discusses the app's features, the importance of collaboration, and how it motivates musicians, especially those who may have lost their passion for playing. Our conversation highlights the app's potential to bring musicians together and encourage participation in music, regardless of skill level or experience.
