Part two of the conversation with Levi is about asking for what we want and giving what we want, without pushing others into something they do not want to be part of.
Have you ever said “yes” when you really meant “no”? Or felt unclear about what you actually wanted? In this episode, we dive into Betty Martin's "The Wheel of Consent", a powerful framework that transforms how we navigate touch, relationships, and power dynamics. Whether in business, love, or everyday interactions, understanding the difference between giving, receiving, taking, and allowing can be life-changing. Join us as we explore how to reclaim agency, communicate desires with clarity, and step into true consent—without guilt, pressure, or confusion. 🚀💡
Tune in and start making clearer, more empowered choices today! 🎧✨
Workshop details further below.
These are the quadrants:
You are doing:
1) Serve: you are doing. Action to benefit others. You give a gift, it's for them. "Yes, I will"
2) Take: you are doing. Action to benefit yourself. You receive/ ask for a gift, it's for you. "May I?"
They are doing:
3) Allow: opposite of the taker. They are doing. Allow others to act as they want. You are giving a gift, it's for them. "Yes, you may"
4) Accept: opposite of the server. They are doing. Benefit from the action of others. You are receiving a gift, it's for you! "Will you?"
Shadow sides of the wheel of consent. This is when there is no consent anymore:
1) Serve: "do gooder", rescuer, martyr, slavery, push onto others what they don't want, sacrifice themselves
2) Take: Perpetrator, stealing, groping, assaulting, rape, war
3) Allow: endure, tolerate, doormat, pushover, victim, passive
4) Accept: Freeloader, assumption of privilege, slavery, entitled
