Surprise, it's October. And it’s an onslaught.

The full moon in Aries raises a high tide of tasks, challenges, and tender realizations to keep up with. There's a whole lot, and it’s FAST. Thanks to the ongoing trine between Uranus in Gemini and Pluto in Aquarius (additionally pinging up a grand air trine with each personal planet that enters Libra), there’s a velocity present. We’re on a runaway train on the tracks of an ever-increasing to-do list!

It's a fast-paced run away train yanking you flailing and wailing through a blur of emotionally charged obstacles… up and over the brink to your most aligned and prosperous year yet. These are growing pains on steroids.

There is a poignant intensity here, thanks to Mars and Mercury entering Scorpio. Overwhelming and intimidating as all this is, we are locked in, resiliently rolling with the punches because we firmly sense that this runaway train is the necessary transformation vehicle to rebirthing as competent, top-notch, take no bullshit, dish no bullshit, self-aligned individuals we can be proud of.

Locking in.

You can feel it in the air, the season is changing. As we approach the equinox, the days get shorter. The energetic extremes intensify between cold and heat, trick and treat, favorable and forget about it. We start thinking about how much time we have left, and what we want to use it for.

This solar eclipse in Virgo is our new moon. Sun and moon conjoin at 29 degrees of Virgo, the very very last degree of this sign. This is last call, all aboard. The engine is streaming, so better get on the train. Speak now or forever hold your peace.

This Virgo new moon solar eclipse is at the final degree of Virgo, and it directly opposes Saturn retrograde at 29 Pisces. Though this is a new moon, which always marks a beginning, because of the direct opposition to Saturn this is a new beginning created from severance. An ego sacrifice is required. We’re asked to leave something or someone behind, a mode of operation must be ceased… for good. Then, within 24 hours we hit the Autumn equinox. The sun and moon will shift into Libra and the season changes, just like that. Both sun and moon will hit zero degrees of Libra and oppose Neptune at zero degrees of Aries. This aspect is working to ease the rigid definitions of the ego self and fades the narrative we’ve carried about who and how we’re supposed to be.

This week is meant to be a graduation, a moment to acknowledge your growth, maturity, and dedication to evolving and becoming the conscious, self-honoring, co-creating being you were meant to be. Congratulations! You’ve been hired as the new and purposefully aligned version of yourself. Now get ready to work!

Here we are again, talking about Pisces... It's the never ending story of endings. We have a full moon Lunar Eclipse in Pisces with Saturn back in Pisces, plus all outer planets are in retrograde.

This Lunar Eclipse we are:

• Opening our eyes to means of self-denial and self-sabotage hiding in plain sight
• Working through misunderstandings with curiosity and grace
• Abandoning tendencies to micro-manage in relationships
• Surrendering the little details, excuses, and judgement that barricade us from love

With these two Virgo new moons, you have two chances over the next 28 days to analyze, align with, and pull in new solutions for your emerging identity — and to close the gate on anything that compromises or sabotages the greater self-love you’re learning to walk with.

Even if we don’t know with full certainty how this process will unfold or where we’ll land, we must choose full certainty that we are ready for and capable of a much more enjoyable experience. What is 100% clear is: We CANNOT move forward approaching things the way we’ve always done in the past. The old tools and tricks won’t work to build the relationships and roles we’re expanding into.

This full moon we are:

• Giving visibility to concepts privately incubated.
• Leading with the refined aspects of yourself you’ve been learning to trust internally.
• Loving and honoring the free-flowing authenticity of others as we love and honor our own.
• Living by the motto: When I fully embrace myself, my hands can hold no bullshit.

All of August, but more intensely this week, is great for bridging the gap between concept and concrete, taking those new insights and ideas from internal what ifs into initial discussions, pitch meetings, introductions, and exploratory trial runs. The time is ripe for taking something you’ve been experimenting with on a small scale and putting the word out.

Elementally, this month is dominated by fire and air. Air signs (Gemini, Libra, Aquarius) give us ideas, thoughts, communications, movement, and decisions. Fire signs (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius) give us passion, action, assertion, performance, and righteousness.

The gift of Jupiter and Venus together in Cancer is EMOTIONAL HONESTY. Staying aligned with and expanding through emotional honesty. Connecting with others via emotional honesty. These are the kinds of connections where the magnetism stems from the heart, there’s a trust and belonging interpreted from the resonance we feel.

Mars in Libra means aggressive rebalancing. Expect the pendulum to swing hard in the opposite direction. Anything not in alignment, not in resonance, or causing disharmony to your vibration is now catalyzed for confrontation. Have those healthy, serious talks – even if just with yourself. They don’t have to be intimidating, they can be open heart-to-hearts. Remember, the path here must be paved by emotional honesty.

REMOVING THE MASK

This new moon is very much putting our rightful self-expression and will to create personal fulfillment against where we are currently implicated by and entangled within the wrong crowd.

Leo is known as the performer, the skilled showman. But is the part you play coming from the heart, out of authentic, sovereign self-love? Or is it a crafted character assumed for protection, out of fear, or for material possessions? Mercury retrograde here this month will help to shed light on what you're participating in and why. This New Moon directly opposed to Pluto plus Mars conjunct the South Node in Virgo will help you take steps to cast off that mask and never pick it up again.

Leo is our sacred roar. It is our fixed fire, the solar plexus chakra, our will power, our right to life – and not just any life, our right to the life that is uniquely and divinely decreed by the beat of our own heart and no one else’s. Leo is what you were born to do. When we live in alignment with that sacred roar, we magnetically attract the correct attention and resources.

Taurus and Scoprio are energies of money, property, and emotional entanglement. It gets real messy, real quick. The ugly side of your emotional patterns, and the ugly side of the property you rent, own, and share are in the spotlight. You know the saying “you get what you pay for”? You’ll be confronted with the energetic and empathetic cost of your current relationships and property. Taurus is about financial investment, and Scorpio is about emotional investment.

Compassionate Confrontation

Capricorn/Cancer is the axis of dedicated meaningful work (Capricorn) to create safety, security, and emotional fulfillment (Cancer). The focus this week is on whether or not you’re accessing what you require to do this work. The space. The tools. The support. The discipline.

This is an honest confrontation with where you may be hiding from responsibility, hiding from expenditures, hiding from assertive communication, or otherwise preventing yourself from breaking through old, limiting emotional justifications.

Because Cancer rules the home we grew up in, consider your inherited or trauma-adapted approaches to responsibility, resources, and relationships of give and take. What was demonstrated? Procrastination? Saying yes to everyone? Withholding information or attention? Self-betrayal to be polite? Poverty mentality? Because Capricorn rules your mature adulthood and public reputation, how are you still modeling any of those?

The moon in Capricorn easily prompts stinginess, of any kind. Ruled by Saturn, Capricorn is the season kicked off at the winter solstice — literally the shortest day of the year. The earth is frigid, and the intimidating cold dark threatens livelihood and food production. That scene carries through to attitudes of lack, preservation, thriftiness, but also industriousness, resourcefulness, and creative practicality. Capricorn knows how to make the most from the least and make it last. It’s great energy for business and entrepreneurs. When the moon is in Capricorn we’re more discerning about what we spend on. It can be a really productive time where its easier to go into “beast mode” towards a goal. Spiritually, Capricorn grants a whole lot of fortitude. The chores are accomplished, the lean times are persevered through, because there is faith that we are building something meaningful, dependable, long-lasting, and our own.
