As the Golden Knights cleaned out their lockers and met with the media last week. there was one prevailing theme: There will be changes to to the VGK roster. Kelly McCrimmon hinted at changes. Bruce Cassidy discussed changes VGK's mindset to attack the net more and that would take personnel changes. Players echoed the same sentiments feeling that the Front Office would add to a competitive roster. McCrimmon said the first order of business in the off-season is to work on extending Jack Eichel's contract. Eichel could command in the $13-million plus range. He will also be looking for a long-term contract. And we rank the Final Four teams in the conference finals.

The Golden Knights went two games and 127 minutes without scoring a goal in Games 4 and 5 and they lost to the Oilers in five games. Stuart Skinner was in a zone in those two games - stopping every shot that came his way. VGK played without Captain Mark Stone and Brandan Saad in Game 5. There were other injury concerns for VGK. We discuss the turning point of the series and what our expectations were for the Golden Knights this past season.

VGK is 3-5 in elimination games in its short franchise history. The Golden Knights are hoping to force the series back to Edmonton for Game 6 Friday. Their backs are against the wall and VGK would have to win three straight games to make it into a Conference Championship. Bruce Cassidy says it's cliche, but he said the approach is one game at a time. Is VGK too beaten down to beat the Oilers and avoid a handshake line on home ice Wednesday? The Oilers won a physical battle in Game 4 and the Golden Knights were already smarting on the injury front heading into the loss. VGK needs to score an early goal - or at least a goal - to gain its confidence back after being shutout by Stuart Skinner. We discuss whether VGK will make any lineup changes. And, we have our locks and predictions for Game 5.

The Golden Knights got bum rushed in Game 4. The Oilers mucked up the game early and the result was a Zach Whitecloud turnover that led to the first of two Adam Henrique goals just 1:27 into the contest. There we goalie collisions. And, there was even a full on fight between the Golden Knights Nic Hague and the Oilers Trent Frederic. Henrique had a second goal later in the period. Evander Kane scored the third goal.
