From there, the arms suffocated Boston. Jeffrey Springs gave the A’s four innings of one-run (unearned) ball, Mitch Spence chewed up 3.2 scoreless for the win, and Hogan Harris coolly recorded the final four outs for his third save. The Red Sox went 0-for-7 with runners in scoring position, and two A’s double plays erased threats as the visitors made Fenway feel small. It’s five straight wins for the A’s, and it felt like a message: if you’re chasing October, we’re chasing you.

The A’s finished off their series against the Reds in style, pulling off a 7–4 win to secure the sweep at Sutter Health Park. Cincinnati came out swinging with early homers from Noelvi Marte and Will Benson, jumping to a quick 3–0 lead, but the A’s didn’t blink. Jacob Wilson sparked the comeback with a solo blast, Colby Thomas followed with a rocket of his own, and Brent Rooker tied things up with a no-doubter. Then came the dagger — rookie Nick Kurtz launched a go-ahead two-run homer in the fifth inning, flipping the momentum for good. From there, the crowd rode every swing like it was October baseball.

On the mound, Luis Morales gave the A’s five innings of grind-it-out work to earn the win, while the bullpen took care of the rest. Michael Kelly locked down the ninth for the save, slamming the door on any Reds rally. Cincinnati, desperate to stay alive in the Wild Card chase, saw their hopes take another blow as their pitching staff couldn’t contain the A’s lineup. For the A’s, it wasn’t just another win — it was a sweep, a statement, and proof that with only 12 games left, this young team is finding its stride and building momentum for the future.
