  • Episode 9 - What If Your Annoyance Is A Mirror (Portion 48)
    2026/08/12

Certainty isn’t bravado, it’s clarity that holds up under pressure. We talk through what it looks like to build spiritual discernment so we stop second guessing our decisions, stop inviting chaos, and start living in a way that feels clean and grounded. For us, that certainty comes from applying Scripture in a practical way, letting God fill the space we normally clutter with fear, resentment, and noise.

We also share how weekly Torah portion study shapes our week, including why we listen to Torah teaching that connects the history of the Bible to personal application. Torah portion Shoftim takes “judges” and turns it into a daily practice: appoint an inner judge, and guard the seven gates of your body. What you watch, hear, breathe in, and speak either nourishes your mind or weakens it, and guarding those gates becomes a simple but demanding form of faith and self control.

From there, we get honest about judgment, irritation, and mercy. We can’t avoid making judgments, but we can choose to judge favorably, give people the benefit of the doubt, and notice how our strongest reactions may point to what we still need to heal. We connect that to Elul, the month of mercy and return, with a focus on repentance, forgiveness, and repairing relationships, even if the other person is no longer here. If you want a Christian podcast that blends Bible study, Torah wisdom, and real-life personal growth, this one gives you a clear next step for the week.

  • Episode 8 - Every Choice Shapes Who You Become (Portion 47)
    2026/08/07

A single decision can change the direction of your whole life. We’re in Deuteronomy with Torah portion Re’eh, and I’m wrestling with the most practical question Scripture can ask: when blessing and curse sit in front of us, what do our everyday choices reveal about who we’re becoming?

Re’eh is keeping our eyes open, owning consequences, and facing the internal enemy. That battle shows up in impatience, anger, and ego, and the hard work is choosing discipline when every impulse wants the easy way.

We get concrete on generosity and discipleship: sin as debt, Messiah as payment in full, and charity (tzedakah) as making things right. I break down the eight levels of giving, ending with the highest form, helping someone gain skills and dignity instead of just receiving a handout.

If you want a simple challenge, take one step out of complacency each day and make one better choice on purpose. Subscribe, share this with a friend who needs a reset, and leave a review so more people can find Live With Certainty. What’s one choice you’re making this week to choose life?

  • Episode 7 - Because (Portion 46)
    2026/07/29

    Send us Fan Mail

The hardest spiritual work is rarely the dramatic stuff. It’s the small, specific thing you already know you should do, but you keep putting off because it feels awkward, scary, or uncertain. We center this conversation on the Torah portion Ekev and its core word, “because,” using it as a lens for cause and effect in faith, obedience, and personal growth. Along the way, we get honest about the frustration of never feeling “done,” and why that friction can be a sign you’re being shaped, not punished.

We connect Moses’ message in Deuteronomy to a humbling reminder: blessing is not because we are righteous or impressive. For Christians, the foundation is Jesus, not our works. That changes how we pray and what we chase. Instead of fixating on material outcomes, we talk about building a proper connection with God, trusting provision, and living the “shadow” idea from Psalm 121: as we act toward others, God responds toward us. If generosity and love feel blocked, it might not be a motivation problem, it might be a connection problem.

Then we move into practical, memorable metaphors and habits: “milk and honey” as date honey and sunlight, divine light entering every thought and action, and how waiting before reacting can keep your life from getting darker. We also explore gratitude disciplines like blessing after you receive, Sabbath rest that refills your energy, and the practice of “100 blessings a day” to train mindfulness. Finally, we dig into discipleship, finding a teacher, going deeper than surface-level Bible reading, and using a heart translation plus other translations to uncover layered meaning.

If this helped you name the one step you’ve been avoiding, listen through, share it with a friend, and subscribe so you don’t miss the next portion. After you listen, leave a review and tell us: what is the “because” God is putting in front of you this week?

  • Episode 6 - Prayer Is Meant To Change Us (Portion 45)
    2026/07/23

    Send us Fan Mail

We’ve all felt it: something goes wrong, and the first thought is “Why me?” That question can lock us into bitterness, doubt, and a sense that we’re walking alone. This conversation through Vaetchanan (Deuteronomy) offers a different path, one rooted in certainty: not pretending life is easy, but refusing to let pain convince us God has disappeared.

We start with Moses begging to enter the promised land, then use that urgency to examine our own habits. When we feel disconnected, we explore how negativity, judgment, and lack of inner work can numb our ability to notice comfort that’s already being offered. We talk candidly about the struggle to love your neighbor as yourself, including the tiny everyday moments that reveal what’s really in us and where we need more grace.

From there, we challenge “cheap grace” and the temptation to outsource transformation to a weekly routine. Eternal life isn’t only a future destination; it begins now, as our values shift away from materialism, ego, and greed toward love, obedience, and “receiving for the sake of sharing.” We also unpack a powerful practice for chaos: the Shema, and why its language of oneness can quiet the mind and re-center the heart. Finally, we close with “rav leche” and the discipline of perspective, learning to see blessings we overlook and trusting that some answers arrive later than we want, but not forgotten.

If this resonated, follow the show, share it with a friend who’s stuck in the “why me?” loop, and leave a review so more people can find Live With Certainty.

  • Episode 5 - Deuteronomy Reset (Portion 44)
    2026/07/14

    Send us Fan Mail

You can read the Bible for years and still feel stuck in the same loops, so I’m asking a sharper question: what if the “same problem” keeps showing up because God is trying to teach me something I refuse to face? As we move into Deuteronomy (Devarim), I unpack why it functions like Moses’s final summary and last will and testament, and how that framing turns Scripture into a mirror for real change, not just more information.

We talk about the repeating patterns that follow us from place to place and why the answer is rarely another fresh start. I share a teaching on three spiritual energies God gives us to keep growing: desire to do the work, excitement for the process, and perseverance to continue. Deuteronomy also feels like an edit button for your life script, a chance to rewrite old habits, listen to your gut about right and wrong, and step out of victim thinking into responsibility and purpose.

One of the most practical takeaways is a countercultural rule for conflict: waiting three days before responding so the message isn’t powered by anger. From there we connect humility, gratitude, and giving God the glory to a bigger theme of integrity, being the light without performing faith. I also dig into why Jesus speaks in parables and how understanding the Torah makes the New Testament clearer, then tie in Isaiah’s call to repent, confess, and change.

We even zoom out to mindset and reality creation through our words, using Dark Matter as a surprising illustration, and I end with a personal health tip on oral hygiene, plaque as bacteria, and what changed for me with homemade toothpaste and an occasional hydrogen peroxide rinse. Subscribe, share this with a friend who’s ready to break a cycle, and leave a review with the habit you’re rewriting right now.
