A single decision can change the direction of your whole life. We’re in Deuteronomy with Torah portion Re’eh, and I’m wrestling with the most practical question Scripture can ask: when blessing and curse sit in front of us, what do our everyday choices reveal about who we’re becoming?
Re’eh is keeping our eyes open, owning consequences, and facing the internal enemy. That battle shows up in impatience, anger, and ego, and the hard work is choosing discipline when every impulse wants the easy way.
We get concrete on generosity and discipleship: sin as debt, Messiah as payment in full, and charity (tzedakah) as making things right. I break down the eight levels of giving, ending with the highest form, helping someone gain skills and dignity instead of just receiving a handout.
If you want a simple challenge, take one step out of complacency each day and make one better choice on purpose. Subscribe, share this with a friend who needs a reset, and leave a review so more people can find Live With Certainty. What’s one choice you’re making this week to choose life?
