    I spent much of my early life living for anyone & everyone but myself. For a long time I was ignorant to the fact that I was doing so. Thank goodness that my life got so bad that I finally reached out for help and in turn began a journey of recovery and self-discovery that introduced me to the idea that it was healthy, courageous and wise to begin living an authentic life OF MY OWN :) At this point in my life I am deeply feeling the results of building and embracing this life of my own and it's an incredible place to be! How about you? Are you living a life of YOUR own? If so then YAHOOOOWHEEE!!! If not, then why not? "Why am I doing what I'm doing" is the greatest question I have been courageous enough to ask myself AND continue to ask myself. It's changed my life in ways I didn't think possible.     The concert season is surely up on us and I feel like I'm already in full swing!! In this MUSIC INSPIRED episode I'm here to share with you 2 of my most recent musical experiences. I recently attended performances by the Hawaiian Jam Rock band KANEKOA, and looper extraordinaire KELLER WILLIAMS! BOTH are performers NOT to be missed!! I had never heard of Kanekoa, but decided to take a chance due to a comment from Grateful Dead drummer Bill Kreutzmann. Being a Deadhead myself I was sold when I heard he stated that, "Kanekoa are the Hawaiian Grateful Dead." That's all it took for me to take a chance and man oh man am I SOOOO glad I did!! As you'll hear me say MANY MANY times in this episode, "They are SPECTACULAR!" In regards to Keller, well I've seen him perform many times BUT had never taken in one of his "Grateful Gospel" concerts and since this one was on Easter Sunday I just knew I had to go!!! Oh what a way to celebrate life!!! He equally, as expected, did not disapoint and neither did his back up band :) Have you heard of neither? Are you familiar with both? Know one but not the other?     Breaking up is hard to do. And yet SO well worth it!! - EP67

    I'm guessing we've all dealt with breaking up. Perhaps you're in the midst of a breakup right now? And if you haven't yet broken up with anything then get prepared for the eventual guaranteed experience ;) I'm not just talking about the kind of breakup most of us are familiar with. You know, the significant other kind of break up. But rather I'm including ALL the breakups that can, and most likely will find their way into your life experience at one time or another. Those breakups can include: Breaking up with an employer, a particular career path, lover, family member, friend, idea or ideal, perspective, belief system, mandates, behavior pattern, relationships of all kinds, thought process, living situation, a place you've called home, etc... I can shorten the list by just saying breakups include all PEOPLE, PLACES and THINGS! And although many might call this more of a process of "letting go", I've recently realized that for me the breakup has to come before I can really begin to let go in any healthy manner ;) A few months ago I was back in my longtime homestate of Colorado, and it really washed over me that I have been in the process of breaking up with Colorado for a few years now., but for whatever reason I hadn't been able to see it from that perspective until this most recent visit. That being said, I have since been feeling a shift is taking place within and I'm now more able to embrace my new home, even though I've been here for 3 years now ;) Better late than never!     It's a new year!!! Yup we've officially entered into the year 2025!! 2025?!?! Am I the only one who feels like I'm somehow living in "the future" even though the supposed future is now? LOL That being said, here we are at the forefront of another new beginning ;) In this episode, my first of the new year, I share my thoughts on, yup you got it, NEW BEGINNINGS, and how every second of the day can actually be a new beginning if you choose! I'm personally finding real joy and relief in the concept of new beginnings happening all the time.     On October 16th, 2024 I traveled from East Coast to West Coast to attend the musical celebration of life for Robbie Robertson, lead singer of The Band. It was being held on October 17th at The Forum in L.A., a venue I had never been to, and the artists performing were of a caliber I couldn't possibly miss out on seeing and hearing! Eric Clapton, Bob Weir & Van Morrison to name a few ;) As many of you know I LOVE live music and so this event was a MUST for this music mama!! It was an experience that also included visiting an area on the planet that I had never been to, exposing myself to new people, places and things, along with widening my spiritual life via another solo travel experience :) It was a 3 day whirlwind adventure that provided lot's of twisty turny happenings both challenging and exhilirating!     Calling all concert goers! This summer I headed West, back to my previous Eagle County, CO homebase, to spend 3 months working as much as possible, so as to pay off all my bills from the previous 3 months ;) I did work almost 6 days a week for those 3 months, AND paid off all my prior months bills, but I also ended up playing almost as much as I worked ;) I am definitely a LIVE MUSIC LOVER and this Summer "Tour" 2024 certainly filled my soul with some SUPER SWEET SOUNDS! I actually began my adventure in Vegas taking in 2 nights of Dead and Company at The Sphere!! I then headed back to Colorado where I I took in performances all the way from Empower Field in Denver to the Belly Up in Aspen! WHAT AN ADVENTURE!!!!     Do YOU love NOLA? Jazz Fest? Are you thinking of going to either OR both in your future? Are you a live music lover? If you have the tiniest bit of interest in any, or ALL of the things I mentioned than I believe you'll hear something that resonates with AND inspires you in this episode :) I went to New Orleans, for Jazz Fest, for the first time 3 years ago. It was the first Jazz Fest after the pandemic shut the world down, and I could hardly wait! A friend was supposed to join me, but because certain places were still requiring a vaccine card they opted out. I entertained the idea of not going, for about 5 minutes, and then begain to solidify my plans! I have since fallen in love with the Crescent City!! I attended solo and have gone back every year since! The first year I attended the first weekend of Jazz Fest, last year I attended the 2nd weekend, and this year I stayed for the whole shabang :) I've released a few prior episodes: #'s 11, 12 & 46, in which I share about my experiences during each visit, and here I am again about to share all about my first 5 days of Jazz Fest 2024 AND MORE!!! My intention is to provide you, in a 3 part series, with tips on getting around, info on the place I stayed, and a peek into the many venues where I took in live music, along with my Jazz Fest specific experience ;) I saw SOOOOOOOO many concerts in my first 5 days! I almost couldn't believe that after those first 5 days I still had 8 more days of music, food and fun to enjoy!!
