In response to a request from the publishers, I am pleased to present a newly authorized edition of this cherished book, originally penned under my initials J.T.K. thirty-five years ago. This reissue remains a faithful word-for-word reprint of my early attempt to bring the captivating tales of King Arthur to a wider audience. It serves as an abridgment of Sir Thomas Malory’s classic version as published by Caxton, enriched with select additions from Geoffrey of Monmouth and other notable sources.
