In response to a request from the publishers, I am pleased to present a newly authorized edition of this cherished book, originally penned under my initials J.T.K. thirty-five years ago. This reissue remains a faithful word-for-word reprint of my early attempt to bring the captivating tales of King Arthur to a wider audience. It serves as an abridgment of Sir Thomas Malory’s classic version as published by Caxton, enriched with select additions from Geoffrey of Monmouth and other notable sources. My aim was to weave these legendary stories into a coherent narrative that honors the timeless allure of Arthurian legend. - Summary by James Knowles
