このコンテンツについて
In this episode of "Law Talks," we sit down with Debbie Sage, a Partner and Accredited Aged Care Professional in the Wills and Estates Department, from Attwood Marshall Lawyers, to discuss the complexities and implications of the current aged care reforms, which have been referred to as the biggest shake-up for the sector in decades. The aged care industry has been under scrutiny for many years, leaving the most vulnerable people in our society to suffer as a result. It’s critical that the sector reforms to better serve Australia’s ageing population. In this discussion we review the new Aged Care Act and the wide range of changes coming that will impact everyone who accesses or delivers funded aged care services. The episode addresses how the new system will differ from the current one, how operators will be held accountable to ensure they deliver high-quality care, and where the 2.2 billion dollars from the latest federal budget will be spent to improve the aged care industry.
